Title: Black Ministers on the Gay Marriage Decision
Post by: Reginald Hudlin on June 27, 2015, 08:18:59 am
Carlos is from my home town of East St. Louis:

Carlos L. Malone Sr.

I have never seen such apathy from Christians concerning peoples rights. Some of you bark loud about sexual sins(homosexuality, fornication, adultery, pornography) but you go very quiet over racism, greed, envy, jealousy, gossip, all which are sins. God gave people the right to choose, so why are you tripping. Maybe now you religious church people will get delivered from your church denominational mentality and realize that we are citizens of the Kingdom of God and not citizens of this world from a spiritual sense.

Today the kings of this worlds system made a civil decision that gave equal rights to people who want to exercise their freedom of sexuality. This is to be respected even if it doesn't agree with our Christian moral values. Today the Supreme Court took a vote and a decision was made; this decision made by men does not in any way overshadow the power of the Sovereignty of God. God never has to take a vote because he does everything after the counsel of His own will.

You see I don't fear, worry or hate Gay people, I'm concerned about these so called straight Christians who perpetuate a false idea of love, grace and the finished works of Christ. Don't make yourselves a judge or jury but be a carrier of that love to all people regardless of their social or civil status. This is not an endorsement of today's decision but an explanation of my own.

If God is going to destroy America because same sex marriage is now legal, then why didn't He destroy America when we murdered to get this land? Why wasn't America destroyed when black slaves were brought here and the women were raped, kids molested and men bodies were dismembered.? Why wasn't America judged when people were killed not because they committed a crime but because they were black... People, please understand , God's grace is enough and all of us need it. Before we commit this land to Sodom and Gomorrah and speak judgment, this land has been wicked since its founding Fathers stole and killed for it. God loves us all and will deal with us all. I've learned love covers a multitude of wrong, love is patient, love is kind, love does no ill to its neighbor, love doesn't behave unseemingly, love never fails. If His love can change us, then let's show that love and let Him change others. We should pray the same love that covers our mess continue to cover out country.

Lied, murdered & cheated their way to a gain a free country to be quite frank.

Anyone else noticed that no other American citizen is at liberty to lie, murder or cheat like the 'Founding Fathers' did?
