I like the action, dialogue, and art.

I'm really enjoying his solo book but he needs a break everywhere else. Between Infinity, Secret Wars & Civil War 2, enough is enough.

Have they changed Mentor(or any of the other Eternals) in some major way? He(unlike his sons) is an Earthborn Eternal with the full powers and invulnerability of his brethren. The only way to kill him would be molecular disbursement. I don't think having someone, including Thanos, putting their fist through your chest counts.

I imagine he will be alive next time we see him.

If I remember correctly, he and his generation left earth, before the Eternals of Earth gained that level of invulnerablilty.

The Eternals Mentor found on Titan were part of that group who left. Mentor(called Alars) was on Earth when his father's experiment gave the Earth Eternals their new abilities.

Is he still dying or did Than fix that and instead made him powerless?

Curious to see what a depowered thanks means

Mighty Thor, Thanos, coming in Jean Grey

Its like, Editorial, what do you do?

Did the Phoenix lay a bunch of eggs around the galaxy or something?
Having been keeping up with Shi'ar stories.

Looks like Thanks is cured of the disease (not really sure) and is mortal. Good issue, but they could have at least knocked a dollar off considering how fast one can get through it.

Another good issue. Looks like he is still ill and depowered, but might be changing next issue.

With the way Thane is using the power, Tchalla has cover for getting Wakanda involved in AvX. Standing on the sidelines u avoidable with that amount of power on earth.

Lemire's solo series are great.

He struggles with team books.

He could right a good BP story period. Cosmic or earth

I would like to see him write a Cosmic story. See that Alpha Flight Hickman teased at the end of SW. Get Deodato to write that sh*t and we would be golden

This week was an old school slug fest. Not a lot if dialogue, but it wasn't needed.

First story concluded. It was fun and based on some previews in the CBR Thanos thread more fun is coming. Kinda disappointed with how Thane lost but he is a minor character and the fight from previous issue makes up for it.

Thanos proved his pimp hand was strong and doesn't love them hoes. lol

Confirmed this takes place before Unworthy Thor story started.

After reading the first issue with the new writer, this book went from the top of my stack to almost off my pull list. That makes me sad  :'(

You didn't like it that much?? I thought it was a pretty good start with the new writer.

I didnít even realize there was a new writer until I found myself not enjoying the book. Then I flipped to the front and it all made sense.

Good insight to the going one of editorial.

Starlin Cuts Ties with Marvel
The man responsible for Thanos, Jim Starlin, has cut ties with Marvel Comics thanks to Tom Brevoort:

Quote taken from another article taken from Starlin's social media pages:
"Just to set the record straight, Marvel Comics didn't pull me off any books, they just made it clear they weren't interested in using me on any of the tie-in series to the movies or regular series. Even though I lobbied heavily to write the Thanos on-going that task was twice given to other writers, which is Marvel Editorial's right to do.

"What I objected to and what will be keep me from doing any further work for Marvel Editorial was Tom Brevoort approving a plot for the current on-going series, which was pretty much the same as the Thanos story arc in the graphic novel trilogy Alan Davis and I have been working on for Tom for close to the past year. He had 200 pages of script and 100 pages of pencils on this project when he gave the green light to a strikingly similar plot. The on-going will be in print before the graphic novel trilogy. To avoid spoiling anyone's enjoyment of these two stories I will not be summarizing the striking similarities.

"At first Tom denied giving his approval to the plot. When that turned out to be false, he switched to claiming there was nothing similar about the two plots. When that didnít fly he changed his story to it was all an accident. These changes of excuse and other bits of procrastination ate up a month, by which time the current Thanos on-going art team was too far along for anything to be done about the situation. Too bad for me. So I am moving on."

Good issue this week. Origin of cosmic Ghost Rider. Its a good example of how a supporting character is used as a priority character in a solo. His story is tied to Thanos.
