just saw this for the first time on Turner Classic movies.. it's still not out yet on DVD.. really good film, and funny... issues raised still resonate..
featured cast- beau bridges, lee grant, pearl bailey, lou gossett, marki bey... it would be cool to see it shown on BET..(if it hasn't already)..

First time I saw this I almost flipped seeing Gosset Jr. with hair...

It takes place during my childhood in Philly. Yes perhaps the acting, direction and writing was sub-par. Heck even the scenes of Philly were all in close up, hard to tell if it was Philly or Cleveland...But it's a flick I've seen this past week and I liked it: Some Black guy passing for White who actually likes Ni99as..Go figure.
