Title: Educate Me!
Post by: Magic Wand on November 17, 2009, 02:14:58 am
As President Obama makes his way through his Asian tour, education is a high-priority Hot Topic item for him.  Now is the obvious time to ride the wave as the Chinese and Indians are eclipsing US students in several areas of study.  I thought it prudent to start a thread where we might post resources for educational opportunities and share in the wealth of knowledge existing here at HEF.

First up is  4BlackYouth (http://www.4blackyouth.com/)
This site goes live officially in February, however now is your opportunity to contribute where you'd like.

Secondly,  Hanban (http://english.hanban.org/index.php) has all sorts of initiatives (and money) to introduce Americans to Chinese language and culture.

Thirdly, CybernetKids (http://www.cybernetkids.com) is a program to get your little people tech savvy.

This is like a Turing test right?

One day, they'll get that A.I. able to mimic a human being.

I see they're not quite there yet.
