Title: ASSAILANT IN MALCOLM X'S DEATH RELEASED by David Evans
Post by: Reginald Hudlin on March 21, 2010, 09:42:54 am
Reggie,

As you might have heard, Thomas Hagan, one of the gunmen in the
assassination of Malcolm X was released from prison recently after
serving forty-five years.  The following link is to an article that
includes an autopsy report (with an eerie photograph of Malcolm's
corpse) and grand jury testimony from his widow, the late Betty Shabazz:

The photograph clearly shows three (possibly four) wounds within
inches of Malcolm's heart and raises some questions:  How could
Hagan, discharging a 45 caliber handgun, and someone else firing a
sawed-off shotgun filled with buckshots at a man behind a podium,
have been so accurate?  Were they trained marksmen?  Could there have
been other shooters?

We are also reminded by the photograph of how young and able-bodied
Malcolm was at thirty-nine when his life was so suddenly taken away.

That man should have never seen the light of day and I hope his remaining days are miserable and merciless and short.

It's crazy that he's been a "two in, five out" prisoner for the last 20 years.  I wonder how many folks where he lives actually know who their living with.

Do you think we should leave it there? Is it too grisly?

I can’t believe it wasn’t common knowledge that he was only serving 2 days a week! What kind of punishment, if any, is that?

Afro Samurai, you called him a “dead man walking”. If he has been out, and about, 5 days a week, I would have thought he would have left us long ago. Certainly, many people must have known that he was out. Seems like there has to be a lot more to this than what has been reported so far.

There's more to this story than meets the eye.
