Title: It's Malcolm X's birthday
Post by: Princesa on May 19, 2010, 06:05:05 pm
...I have been on a gazillion sites and the only one that remembered it no matter how much they say they love Malcolm was a feminist one which is not predominately of color.

Dang!  I had stuff to post on that day all lined up but I was on the road.

In my home town, Malcolm X Day was a school holiday, along with MLK.

Ask my daughter did they talk about Malcom in school today, she no, why were suppose too? Approched the next question with fear. Do you know who he is? " Yea he fought for civil rights". It's YES and write me 300 word report on Malcom X.

To commemorate, Spike Lee's Malcolm X will be playing on BET tonight.

I've noticed in the local papers that it is the highest rated movie ever played on BET...  a whopping 4 stars compared to the usual 1-2 star rated movies that play on that network.
