Well? Tell the folks what you think!

Short answer, the best praise I can give a fictional character: I want to be Byron Lennox.

you got it?

Yessir. Comics Ink, 4267 Overland Avenue, Culver City. Iím not sure if it counted as a pre-order as I think I gave them the Diamond order number on an index card sometime after the book was called late.

Wise, I don't assume the demographical aspects of Grevioux's fantasy world mirror reality in any real way.

so is her mom a person or an animal?

"Murder" implies that she was a human being (at least on the outside ;D), but I've never seen her mother on panel.

Looks awesome...but I've never heard of the writer...has anyone read anything else she's done?  I checked her website and she's an interesting person, though.

Hopefully the writer being a woman will stave off accusations of sexism about whatever Vixen does in the story. As for charges of racism or westernism... ::)

I swear, there must be something wrong with me.  Everyone loves fraction, but I have yet to read anything by the guy that gets me excited...

To be fair, while we approach Earth high above the African continent on the first panel of the first page, the print comic's text says "a minority on our Earth is a majority on this one" (inferring not only in America or an African nation) and doesn't specify location in the story--other than the planet "Dakoran". An alternate Kemet-influenced Washington, D.C. is implied in the art (see the first link in my previous post).

Saw it, sure. Do you mean, what happened as in 'I didn't see it' or as in 'what did that all mean'?

I mean what happened as in, "I didn't see it--did guest star Ayesha Dharker (Solana Mercurio) get to do anything cool?"

I wish this forum had spoiler tabs, as I don't want to just start putting down stuff about the ending of the episode...

I accept PM's. ;D

Wise, did you see episode three, "Planet of the Ood"? What happened?

This is serious business here.

I'll say. Somebody's going to get seriously damaged before this story ends.

I like...Iron Fist...

If I'm correct in assuming you mean the one Matt Fraction writes, you might like his quasi-futuristic (or is it quasi-retro?) espionage title from Image, Casanova. The first seven issues have been collected.

The name Lightning was sugessted for her...

And the new Amazing Man's nickname can be Kingfish!

Black Vulcan(ess?)

That'd be adding insult to injury, considering that "Black Vulcan" was created/named so that Hanna-Barbera could use Black Lighting on Challenge of the Super Friends without using Black Lighting on Challenge of the Super Friends.:P

i thought it was with some OTHER woman.

Does Nubia, the black Wonder Woman analog, still exist?

so, uh.. has anyone actually used her, post-crisis?

Doselle Young (Gangland, The Monarchy) updated her in 2000 in Wonder Woman 154 and 155, in a story taking place in Vegas. It's not retcon, since it was the first appearance of the character since Wonder Woman's first relaunch in '87. "Retcon" is the insertion of new "facts" and events in a character's life that readers are supposed to consider having always been, just unseen prior to a particular series or arc. A relaunched character's technically not a retconned character.
