I was thrown off because BB climbing a mountain in Wakanda would be one of those last things I imagined scenarios.  Lol.

If he was just walking through one of the veins in the mine, I might have caught on.

So, the guy who literally spit the greatest and best argument for Afrakan Reparations writes a compelling Captain America and a suckganimous Black Panther? My brilliant HEF brethren, feel free to explain that reality to me.

I only read a couple Cap issues, so my exposure is limited. I remember Coates saying the EiC was revising his scripts so that's probably part of it. I noticed the writer basically said Coates first BP arec was that good. Lol

I like this form of storytelling, seems like 70s or 80s comic narration.

Im guessing the snake is a reference to the Panthers Quest cartoon.

Is he climbing to get more heartshaped herb for the ceremony?

@Supreme

The "Ross" character for most of Coates run could have been Eden. He's an outsider living in Wakanda so he provides that link for people outside Wakanda to understand Tchalla and Wakanda in general. Filler pages could be him talking to locals.

Last time I saw U.S. Agent he was a quadruple amputee? He was working for some agency might have been Thunderbolts.

We had fun on CBR with a couple of panels where it looks like BP did something cool, but than turn the page and he gets punked. From what I remember from youtube videos people felt that Thomas' BP in Avengers was the worst iteration of the character until Priest comes along to make him cool.

Priest stated in the forward to his Vol. 1 trade was that during that Avengers time the most BP would do was say "Thor throw your hammer in that direction"

I'd like to see the adult live action shows on Hulu so they can be more mature. The Mandalorian feels like it should be an HBO level of maturity. lol

9
I'll have to see if I can find the scan, but its something along the lines of "I was King, but I found the throne hollow.....". More or less a precursor to Coates.

I learned this couple of weeks ago that there was a Vision story that predates his first appearance in 'Avengers' #57 written by Roy Thomas.

There is a tragic line in that issue that lets me know Thomas should never rite BP again. lol.

Is it just a collection of notable issues? Or is it like the annual from last year?

I just meant if you liked his speech on the Hill, this is where is started in 2014

Mr. Ta-Nehisi Coates will be a guest tomorrow night on MSNBC's All In hosted by Chris Hayes.

Check your local listings!

My apartment complex got audited by Comcast and they claim that we've been getting basic "premium" cable for no charge. My complex offers free cable, but its really just local channels and public access. They said we'd have to pay out of pocket to keep basic cable. lol.

I have enough streaming services that I opted not to pay. Been living there 11 years, and this happens in May. lol.

Really appreciate the gesture, however, I am more than familiar about the issue and possible solutions to the problem.

Did he propose a form of reparations or just talk about the case for it?

Mr. Ta-Nehisi Coates delivered an eloquent,  thorough and well-researched historical account of the American slave era, dates, all persons involved, locations, atrocities committed to whom, all the way up to present day in support of a house bill passed called H.R. 40, a commission to study and develop Reparations proposals for African-Americans authored by Representative Sheila Jackson-Lee, a Democrat from Houston, Texas' District 18.

The Originators from the second arc. The creators the Wakandans put in chains and sent to a ultra dimensional reservation.

Oh!  :-[  ;D

...great...!  :-\

A reference from one of his Black Panther stories...   and you just revealed elements of the plot someday I may read someday.  ;D

Yeah, Mr. Ta-Nehisi Coates represented on Juneteenth on Capitol Hill and drew the attention of the world.

I have an increased newfound respect for him now.

Did he propose a form of reparations or just talk about the case for it?
