Black Panther / Re: Black Panther Movie SPOILER THREAD
« on: February 27, 2018, 11:18:32 am »
Bruh... didn't even notice this on first watch and I have been dying to see this panel recreated in live action

I think it's because I had tears in my eyes during this scene lol

It would have ruined the tone of the movie, but I would have fallen out if they had someone say "Where he fights, we fight, where he leads, we follow!" Then had someone say "If he eats pizza..."

I loved this book.  Maybe they should put Coates name second since he's not actually writing it, and other than huge early sales and holding steady sales on the main book his name doesn't seem to help spin-off minis at all.

Fantastic Four is one of the few franchise that I don't mind getting kicked off in Black Panther, but only as guest stars or in a post credits scene.

I think T'challa should reference Dr. Reed Richards or Dr. Susan Storm (make her an astrobiologist).

4
Rogue SHOULD get racebent.  But if not I imagine the first team of X-Men marvel uses will be much more diverse than the Fox line-up.  Also thank to Brian Singer not being involved the minorities won't be the lightest ones they can find.

Based on how Disney/Marvel is pushing BP there is no doubt he's A-List.

I just watched "Elders React to the Avengers: Infinity War trailer" on YouTube.  Old ass white grandmothers were name checking Black Panther on a list of characters they can identify.

Old. Ass. White. Grandmas.

Black Panther is Disney's new Iron Man.  Count on it.

I wish Marvel would let each of these three and Liss do an OGN.

The let Starlin do three and several monthly mini series about Thanos, so why not let BP get some shine now that he's about to be A list.

The only thing I'm looking forward to in the comics side is Rise of the Black Panther.  I've got high hopes for it and if it pops I'd love to have someone do a follow up to Flags of our Fathers.

Maybe do a Secret Invaders story.

I mean, i don't peruse that board anymore but... don't they have a storm thread and a storm/bp thread they could be showering praise on storm willy nilly with no pushback?

I've also pointed that out multiple times.

I don't really care for Storm as a character all that much, but I'm not going to lie, 90% of what I say on the BP THREAD about Storm is just trolling Storm (only) fans for not staying in their lanes.

I don't pop in the pro marriage threads or the Storm threads to troll, because... why would I?

Anything on the blog can be posted wherever

One note Brother Moss, Strom solo by Greg Pak only lasted 11 issues not 14 issues.. But other than that great write up..

It's too bad it wasn't 14. Like I said in the other forum; she'd get a nice #15 "Legacy" relaunch.

A shuri lead book had 12....

lulz

i fixed the post.

I pointed that out and Butterfly shook all the salt from herself that she could muster and told me that my attempts at being clever were delusional and that I was beneath her attention...

Over the course of multiple paragraphs, in multiple posts, which she edited multiple times.  You know, because I'm not worth her time.

I haven't been on here in forever because I usually post from work and this site gets firewalled.

These Storm stans on CBR today were clowns.  I don't even understand why they post in the Black Panther thread.

I'm not really an action figure person, but these toys are going to be HOT.

Unless you can prove to me that any of these women can throw down on making the world's finest pizza I'm not accepting any of this.

Everyone knows the way to Panther's heart is through a pie.

Also, I really wish Nick Spencer would get to write a BP tie-in where they show Steve specifically countering Black Panther, because no way would he fall for this BS.

If I was Steve getting T'challa out of the way would have been one of the first moves made.

I will be curious to how global this story is.

Wakanda would be very very very very very very interested and concerned by this.

sh*t, BP  was worried about Civil War so they would def be worried about Hydra takeover

I wish Coates would tie in :( tie ins can be cool when it fits and Secret Empire definitely fits.

By its very nature it would have to be global.  If the main world power, and central hub of all super powers fell to Hydra there is no way there wouldn't be global ramifications.  I think this may be dealt with in the Anthology spinoff series with the All New Invaders.
