So, all of last year and ongoing into this one, I've been experimenting with making my own comics.

By "my" I mean, some are done, top-to-bottom, by me and others are only written and edited by me with multiple other players on the board.

I talked a lot about it on my own site and always felt s little nervous about doing it here for a lot of good reasons, mostly having to do with the fact that this is Reggie's spot. But this section is devoted to that sort of thing and the thing isn't new anymore so, here's some stuff.

The first volley was WINTERMAN COMICS, something I did myself as an ongoing digital anthology series (stalled s bit because of lots of other work but ongoing).

After that, I launched the BATTLE BOOKS, a sort of THUNDERDOME series where three stories competed to see which would get to live. REDJACK won (No cheating, I swear).

and I'm running two webcomics at to get things ready for the Winterverse to a lot more coming this year. REDJACK and at least two secret projects.

Love to have you come by.

Mr. Roach has assembled a number of talented folks to make this happen and it's looking pretty awesome. If 1000 more folks donate 10 bucks each, it WILL happen and I think that's a good thing.

Support the GOOD indie creators. They deserve it and so do you.

A lot of folks like to bitch about what MARVEL and DC are NOT doing when it comes to the hiring and portrayal of blacks in their comics. A lot of other folks like to dive for the very few crumbs they condescend to hand on on that score and live on the crumbs for years. Decades sometimes.

When we point out that there are better comics out there for you, comics made by folks you may not know but who are, at the very least, competitive with the stuff put forth by the Big Two, we are met with the tried and true " indie comics are weak." "Black comics usually suck."

This was maybe true, once, about twenty years ago. It hasn't been true for a while.

This month COMIC BOOK RESOURCES is spotlighting folks, like me, who are busting their asses to put out product for you that fills the need Marvel and DC either can't or won't. Hard, EXCELLENT work done by brothers and sisters who, for obvious reason almost never get the nod from the makers of the X and the S.

If you don't support them, they will fail. They will go away and all that will be left is the whining from fans who seem not to know a good thing when they see it.

Or... Do you see it? I suddenly bet that, comics shops being what they are, you maybe DON'T get to see most of what's out there and thus can't be blamed for not supporting it.

Well, worry no more. all this month you will be getting a comprehensive list of the best that's out there, updated DAILY.

So, now you know where to go.

I hope to God you know what to do.

Tomorrow KNIGHT RIDER #1, written by yours truly, drops.

I'm not allowed to show anything (but it looks SICK). I'm not allowed to say anything that might be considered revealing anything about the plot, the revamp, the new characters or even if KITT is still a car. (Nothing you've seen will prep you.)

What I AM allowed to say is that nearly anything you think you know about Knight Rider should be left at the door. Guy. Talking Car. Adventure. Beyond that, you have no idea what I'm about to bring you.

They let me reboot it and that's exactly what I did. Like a BATTLESTAR GALACTICA-level reboot.

So. There it is.

We put the pedal down tomorrow and we put it down hard.

Hope to see you.

If you do come out, make sure you buckle up.
