Someone gave me the heads up on Reddit and I figured you guys would want to know.

To the people who knew him better than me, sorry about your lost.

- preview

- T'challa tells the council what he is doing. Tells, doesn't ask

- outsiders arrive. he shows off their tech and such

- WS teleports into Wakanda. he is soundless and scentless and can teleport

- T'challa and WS fight. this WS is enhanced btw, he isnt' normal human with an arm

- long fight. the whole time tchalla is talking to taku about disabling teleporting tech. It is almost if T'challa is taking the fight only half serious as he is testing theories

- tchalla eventually wins. he also eventually figures out WS is brain washed. He breaks the brain washing but bucky passes out when he sees caps shield

- t'challa threatens UN to get what he wants

- we learn S'yan was developing war weapons. Shuri is pissed, syan says he was doing what he felt was necessary after his brother was killed

- tribal council protests. Tchalla tells them challenge month is months away still and basically to stfu

- chang makes an appearance. ugh

- tchalla goes to UN. N'jadaka finds him and T'challa brings him home

- when tchalla gets back to the golden city, taku updates him that the anti teleporting tech has been updated. but it wasn't updated in time to stop one more intruder

- Doom sits on the throne of Wakanda demanding an audience



Evan's is my guy

a few small things I really liked


- they enhanced the winter soldier to make it a fight. he was enhanced, odorless, soundless, could teleport, and was in a cloaking device most of the fight. YOU ENHANCE THE BAD GUYS, NOT BRING TCHALLA DOWN

- mention of the F4. so this happens afterwards

- that new suit was SICK looking

- energy daggers! and other new tech

- tchalla 100% in control of the situation

- Taku!


Evan's is still really dense with his words but i'll take that minor complaint. Also, the whole "Coates is helping" sh*t is seriously just forcing characters like Chang into the book. Since coates didn't bother to give him a proper background. Coates "oversees" books just to fix his own damn books.

next up the true test... DOOM

- Chang talks to Tetu about stuff

- Large fight against Ras or whatever and his minions. Zuvari does magic, T'challa bosses people around and throws spear, Thunderball does stuff. tchalla is waiting for word that Asira has been rescued and he is waiting for Eden

- Shuri does her Queen of the Dead thing to buy time

- Text message arrives. Eden arrives with reinforcements... Including Storm

- Tchalla uses tech to shield the good guys from her powers, Storm ice storms everyone

- t'challa spears Ras or whatever. Zuvari breaks his mask

- It isn't a he.

- Plot twist, it is Queen Divine Justice.



On one hand... I am happy Coates is figuring out this is a f*cking comic book and in comic books, weird sh*t like this plot twist happen.

But.... there better be a damn good reason why QDJ is like this, how she is like this, or like something. Is she mad about the Jabari? that would make some sense but... we have 2? issues left this season? So he's gotta wrap this sh*t up so....

But if there isn't a damn good reason, he just decided to sh*t on another Priest concept for the sake of... something. I've never been a QDJ fan but still...


anywho, it is typical coates tchalla, who thinks bad ass is telling all the over characters to do stuff while he throws a spear. yay

Like the rest of the run, World of Wakanda would be a much better title than Black Panther.

Grading on the Coates curve, its a decent action comic. unfortunately it continues to jump aroudn in plot, we didn't get any klaw stuff at all.

Priest Story:

- classic priest story, this was fully narrated by Ross
- summary... the consitutional council overruled T'challa and gave the world a tech that would prevent global warming. T'challa said it would be used as a weapon but gave in to the coucil
- person with those plans was murdered adn the plans set on fire
- story follows ross as he is kidnapped by Hunter, than saved by Malice/Nakia, all trying ot figure out what happened to the plans
- in the end, it was simply a random mugging and the plans were set to self destruct by tchalla if something happened to him.

pros: i like ross narration, return of Hunter, return of Malice/Nakia
cons: barely any T'challa and im not sure how the nicole stuff is going to go down around here if it is taken out of context at all...


McGregor:

- T'challa ventures to get the HSH, illegally, to put in Monica Lynn's casket after she died of Cancer.

this seems entirely non cannon, unless this is some weird place that is before W'kabi died?



Hudlin:

- Wakanda killed Doom, killed Magneto
- Namor married off an Atlantean to a Wakandan for politcal reasons
- Wakanda rules the world

It honestly read like those little kid comics I read to my 5 year old

spoilers

- baron resurrects mbaku which makes him more powerful. then mbaku turns on Baron. so I got all excited about Baron for him to be a plot device
- stupid, non impressive fight with tchalla, mbaku, and those stupid robots of kantu's
- shuri flies in... in a plane... even though she has flight powers. K
- more stupid boring fights. not a single thing impressive
- mbaku eventually loses
- baron reverses the spell and just leaves
- everyone lives happily ever after


This was so pointless. you could say "at least it brought mbaku back" but he was already alive so....

When the embargo lifts Monday on twitter reviews or whatever, there is likely going to be some leaks.

Some of us embrace the leaks and that is fine.

But, we should probably allow the "official" movie thread to be spoiler free so we don't ruin someones experience on accident.

- T'challa goes to the random plants, they are seemingly made of vibranium

- Gets attacked by machine animal things

- eventually gets captured, the villain dude taunts

- At villain dudes laire, T'challa knows who he is, Kantu from the preview, an old friend

- typical "you rejected me" villain talk stuff from Kantu with his quick origin (exile in wakanda and picked up bits of vibranium and built stuff). talks about selling tchalla in parts, yada

- T'challa appeals to his friend and kantu actually agrees to release him to track the White Gorillas

- The White Gorillas found someone that commands death... its our boy...

BARON MACABRE!!!!

and he has resurrected (errrr. continuity thing but who cares)

there seems to be some weird continuity stuff and this dude seems to love him some Panther's Rage (baron, animals attacking, jungle stuff) and that weird capture thing (you dont plan tchalla... lol wut))... i wasn't sure if T'challa got captured on purpose once he figured out who it was or what because it was his friend... whatever
