I'm usually down with Lion, but not this time. How do we know that Wesley ordered his employees to follow his example? Check that.Wesley is around his midforties...so since age sixteen to say 36 there was never a question of his taxes being paid.20 years...during his meteoric rise from Michael Jackson's "Bad" and NEW JACK CITY and JUNGLE FEVER and PASSENGER 57 and DEMOLITION MAN and RISING SUN and more...no tax problems. He gets in with accountants and tax attorneys whom have advised many a person before him (successfully) and takes their advice.he probably does so in the manner that many rich people do it..."their people" handle the more mundane and annoying but critical aspects of business and trivia in their lives, with the celebrities only becoming involved if their bottom line is affected. The government only started getting interested when Wesley started becoming a viable candidate for being Hollywood's leading action star, and Wesley successfully fought them off for approximately eleven years. In THE WHITE MAN'S COURT. This would lead Wesley and many others--me among them--to infer that Wesley has eleven years of judgements reaffirming the correctness of his counsel by his tax people...NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND.The USA has a REGRESSIVE tax system--the more money you make, the LESS you pay in taxes--and this system is fraught with all kinds of loop holes and tax shelters and other totally legal tax dodges.STUPID AS f*ck? Neva that.Wesley can/has been accused by some of his costars as being arrogant and difficult to work with, but by no means has he ever been stupid...quite the opposite, actually.Wesley just ran into a "crusading judge and prosecution" who likely would have been FAR LESS CRUSADING if those being prosecuted were more of the Lee Iococca type than of the Radio Raheem (DO THE RIGHT THING) type.Racism in this case is a given...but wreckless arrogance on Wesley's part juss cuz he's rich and wanted to stack a few more millions? Hell to the naw.Not conclusive by ANY stretch.Like "Steamin" Willie Beamon said:"I'm not buyin your brandy,Coach!"
Btw,I wouldn't insult anyone who's "stupid as f*ck" or even the phrase itself by comparing them or it to OJ (Captain Sellout) Simpson. That's demeaning to every "stupid as f*ck" person and idea out there...
