Yeah I agree with others here. This movie fell way short. There was so much nonsense in it it was unbearable at times. I mean, why did Megatron become a punk so easily?? Autobots were pissing their pants at the sight of him in the first movie, now Optimus can take him on as well as another Decepticon and clearly handle them like children??  For that matter, what was the purpose of the fallen and devastator?? they were taken out way too easily for them to have been considered a legit threat.

is every black person in the country in obama's campaign? who cares what luda writes..it's a song... he's not running for any office that i'm aware of. obama shouldn't have even bothered addressing this nonsense.

DK was pretty off the chain. The best film i've seen this year. It's better than Ironman and i loved Ironman. I saw it in IMAX and wanted to get back into line to see it again. Ledger's performance in this movie was spectacular.

from my understanding the prosecution didn't have much of a case..that's probably why it took so long for this to see the light..

my favorite line is how we should respect the court's decision..the hell? we should respect the fact that the court has given cops the ok to murder with no form of justification? They can just say whatever.."Hey, I heard them talking about an uzi used in Boys N tha Hood, so i know they were up to something"..it's truly a shame that this nonsense happens, but i can't say that i'm surprised...We live in a country were Vick can do time for dog fighting/bank rolling..Wesley can get time for tax evasion, but murders and pedophiles get slaps on the wrists

General Discussion / Re: Wesley Snipes sentenced to 3 years in Prison
« on: April 28, 2008, 10:30:30 am »
I'm usually down with Lion, but not this time. How do we know that Wesley ordered his employees to follow his example? Check that.Wesley is around his midforties...so since age sixteen to say 36 there was never a question of his taxes being paid.20 years...during his meteoric rise from Michael Jackson's "Bad" and NEW JACK CITY and JUNGLE FEVER and PASSENGER 57 and DEMOLITION MAN and RISING SUN and more...no tax problems. He gets in with accountants and tax attorneys whom have advised many a person before him (successfully) and takes their advice.he probably does so in the manner that many rich people do it..."their people" handle the more mundane and annoying but critical aspects of business and trivia in their lives, with the celebrities only becoming involved if their bottom line is affected. The government only started getting interested when Wesley started becoming a viable candidate for being Hollywood's leading action star, and Wesley successfully fought them off for approximately eleven years. In THE WHITE MAN'S COURT. This would lead Wesley and many others--me among them--to infer that Wesley has eleven years of judgements reaffirming the correctness of his counsel by his tax people...NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND.The USA has a REGRESSIVE tax system--the more money you make, the LESS you pay in taxes--and this system is fraught with all kinds of loop holes and tax shelters and other totally legal tax dodges.STUPID AS f*ck? Neva that.Wesley can/has been accused by some of his costars as being arrogant and difficult to work with, but by no means has he ever been stupid...quite the opposite, actually.Wesley just ran into a "crusading judge and prosecution" who likely would have been FAR LESS CRUSADING if those being prosecuted were more of the Lee Iococca type than of the Radio Raheem (DO THE RIGHT THING) type.Racism in this case is a given...but wreckless arrogance on Wesley's part juss cuz he's rich and wanted to stack a few more millions? Hell to the naw.Not conclusive by ANY stretch.Like "Steamin" Willie Beamon said:"I'm not buyin your brandy,Coach!"

Btw,I wouldn't insult anyone who's "stupid as f*ck" or even the phrase itself by comparing  them or it to OJ (Captain Sellout) Simpson. That's demeaning to every "stupid as f*ck" person and idea out there...

Quoted for Truth..They played Wesley plain and simple. This dude gets 3 years for tax evasion, meanwhile cops get off for murdering a guy..you have to love the "blind" justice system!

Angel is getting underestimated in this thread. An aerial fight between the two would more than likely go in Warren's favor, although it would be a battle.  I'd give this battle 50/50 and lean towards Warren if i were to pick a winner..

Arch Angel absolutely destroys Falcon.

Angel isn't the same guy as back in the day when the Morlocks jumped him and damaged his wings. Apoc saw to that when he mutated his body even further with his specialized wings and blue skin. You can't always go by those Marvel stat lines. They don't always jive with what's been shown in the books.

I just don't see how this will work out for the Suns.  Shaq is still the diesel, but he's not the same Shaq from a couple of years ago imo.

so Def Jam has a problem with the title, but not with artists using the word in their music? interesting...
