Thank you Ture and for your concern about the impact of COVID 19 on your fellow HEFs.

IMO the recent BP issue and the first ever images in Coates' run highlight that it was never about progressing the character but examining toxic masculinity.

Also in regards to New Avengers issue 3 as cited by the editor or Coates, I believe that during Captain America's mind wipe  there was a discussion between the two characters where T'Challa told Steve that he was prepared to do the right thing over his personal beliefs/oaths.

So when T'Challa was faced again with the task of doing the right thing in issue 21 of the New Avengers (as cited by Coates/editor) over his personal point of view he surrendered to his personal ethics and did not do the 'right thing'. It was a character arc for T'Challa as written by Hickman.

Ture can you do me a favor? Kindly post the first page of Coates run that started four years ago..the page where T'Challa is on one knee bleeding from his temple, his father is disowning him in the background and the miners thatare revolting against him because of the ill memories that  they have of him.

Imagine that- the Palpatine message was on the online game Fortnite before the movie came out.

Its just more of the same, Coates taking potshots at T'Challa and using Shuri now to shade throw and place blame on T'Challa for everything.and the isht he has her say clearly shows a bias or lack of knowledge of BP lore (probably a combination of both) and it's quite embarrassing how little Coates thinks of himself that is being projected onto T'Challa, as he has him get talked down to and scolded like a child and his spineless tchumpa the bland panther just comes off even more like a fool.

But Coates doesn't care, he obviously doesn't give a isht about T'Challa and it's always shown, and every issue he finds new creative ways to show us how he doesn't give a F if he drags T'Challa through the mud, so long as he gets to deliver his message

It's really unfortunate that we still have a long way to go till he gets let off the book

My two cents:

1. Okoye (the supporting character) took out the main villain and left him unattended so he escaped.

2. T'Challa took out the third villain down in Zenzi (supporting character to main villain) only to allow her to  get up all of a sudden. Then Zenzi turns the Dora against him.

3. The Space Empire is fighting a war on two fronts of which there is no advantage. Storm is destroying the Space Empire army on one front and Wakanda is taking them on another front which should stretch the invading Space Empire's forces.

3. The end game with the 'we must destroy the memory plane' seems to be all of Wakanda will find out all about the atrocities that the founders of the nation did and feel ashamed by it.

4. In Shuri's mini she saved the 'memory plane' from destruction but in the Black Panther book she has suddenly changed her mind and wants the 'memory plane' gone.

The release of the movie The Banker was put on hold by AppleTV due to a scandal but the information in the link provides a bit of insight into what Bernard Garrett did to get his own bank:

Supreme...check out Marvel's Leonardo Da Vinci and his role in the Richard's family.  I would like T'Challa to go up against him.

We got so much other BP content out there, the solo doesn't matter. Had this been the solo ten years ago, we'd be in trouble.

Also writing my own fan fic is very cathartic. After I wrote the first few pages, I was like "Coates who"? Lol.

Do you have a link to the fan fic?

Under no circumstance should we eliminate the term Afraka. If anything it should be incorporated much more. In my company of family and friends we use it as the proper noun and our ethnic and citizenship as the modifying adjective, I.E. Damara Namibian Afrakan, American Afrakan, Bahamian Afrakan, Yoruba Nigerian Afrakan... katha wa katha (et cetera).

As for Afraka not being a country... who knows what the future may bring. There are continuing talks going on in UN and AU circles about continental Afraka becoming a federation of states "with a single Afrakan military force, a single currency and a single passport for Afrakans to move freely around the continent."

I was late to the party when the discussion of whether Wakanda is a African nation or not was going on in the BP Thread over in CBR so I did not bother to post this:

You see separating 'advance civilizations' from the rest of Africa by 'academics' is nothing new because it was done to Egypt and Zimbabwe. I also saw a poster on CBR mention that due to Wakanda's fictional political setup it is inherently not an African nation. But if that were true then the real world country of Liberia should not be considered an African nation since it was established by African Americans with a very unique political arrangement. My two cents.
