Vox Populi / Re: Health Care
« on: January 07, 2010, 08:25:40 am »
Well Obama and Pelosi are having issues over this.  You can find videos of Obama (from the campaign) basically saying that these meetings should be on C-SPAN.

In an Politico article today:

"Pelosi emerged from a meeting with her leadership team and committee chairs in the Capitol to face an aggressive throng of reporters who immediately hit her with C-SPAN’s request that she permit closed-door final talks on the bill to be televised.

A reporter reminded the San Francisco Democrat that in 2008, then-candidate Obama opined that all such negotiations be open to C-SPAN cameras.

“There are a number of things he was for on the campaign trail,” quipped Pelosi, who has no intention of making the deliberations public."

The weak liberals have wasted enough time and effort trying to hold hands and sing cumbaya with the opposition who have proved that they are ONLY interested in delaying any progress on this bill until they have a better chance at a filibuster after the 2010 election. The only reason why this was even brought up was because of the health care lobbyists pay them to keep harping on it.

Whose opinion did Bush ask for besides Cheyney?

If you disagreed with Bush you were a radical Marxist, socialist, commie. If you disagreed with the government and the single biggest piece of legislation passed to strip away your privacy and rights under the constitution (The Patriot act) you were considered in league with terrorists.

Now all of a sudden you can throw out buzz words without ANY facts to back up your statements and wear a hat with tea bags hanging off of it and now you're Mel Gibson fighting for freedom and guns that nobody has threatened.

UNBELIEVABLE.

Lets just get it done.

Self defence is entirely different from fighting in a ring.

Obviously avoidance is the best defense.

I recommend that the women in my life never travel alone and avoid situations where they can be victimized if for no other reason than to keep me out of prison or keep my dry cleaning bill low from not burying bodies.

If you are being attacked in the street you're probably not going to be able to talk your way out of it. Chances are they already have their mind made up that you are about to come off of that (jewelry, cash, ass, bike,...)

If they find themselves in that situation there is no way she is going to avoid going to the ground. 99% of fights end up on the ground.

Learning how to break an arm and hauling ass with both hands can't hurt.

The eyes are the best target. Driving her car key in and trying to start his head can only help her get away.

The other softening moves are a waste of time. All stun moves that DON'T damage her assailant is only going to piss him off and make it worse. Adrenalin negates "stun move and pressure points".

Punches are a waste of time unless you knock him out.

A boxer who fights 12 rounds and gets his ass kicked will still show you what he's made of if you slap his mom in the front row. How many punches did he just take?

The art of hand combat has come further in the past 20 years than it has in the last 200. It has evolved and boiled down to what works and gotten away from breaking boards to show your mom that her tuition wasn't wasted over the past 5 belt tests.

Her life is on the line. Punching and kicking bags can only improve her stamina so she can run.

Boards don't hit back.

Look at his "free tales" section.

The Zeppo is one of my favorite stories of all time because it incorporated MOST of the BSH characters being malled by one of the members.

Zeppo is a member of BSH.com who only comes out when dumbasses come in starting sh*t.

Let me know what yall think.

I didn't want to step in on this (it's really none of my...) but why all the hatred, Rah?  Can't this quibble be squashed in person since you two seem to know each other, and not paraded here in an attempt to assassinate Flex's (and Grim's) character(s)?

Now I owe no allegiance to Flex (or Grim), but this is turning into a stomping--there's a HEFFA down and we all know 911 is a joke.

We once had a pretty popular thread around here, most of you may have read it, or even posted in it once or twice...it had something to do with Civility.

It's already bad enough that this is the 'net and we can say pretty much anything we want, but it seems if you take issue with these two individuals, and you happen to know them (it sounded as if you did, please correct me if I'm wrong), why bring the fight here?

I'm not trying to get in your ish, Rah.  I respect you, and welcome you as a fellow HEFFA, same as I do Grim and Flex, and I would speak out if it were anyone else just the same.

And I would hope someone would do the same for me.

Good points, but no, I knew him no more than I know you.

He was just some random jackass who came in giving bullsh*t advise and holding a beef from the last time I called him out.

For example when he FIRST got to BSH:

We need to be more people persons at this site. Old ladies need to know that not only will we help them cross the street but we will also assist them with the occasional cat stuck in the tree! We should start wearing suits and ties when we post. Place a flower next to the computer when you log in so that the post is scented when you press submit. Smile often in the face of negativity. This public service announcement was brought to you by Flex Hectic!

Here is the situation update! Both myself and Rah had a phone conversation this evening (California time!) what we discussed is between me and him but it is definite that we will do some sort of MMA thing and then have some form of million man super hero march in D.C. afterwards in which he has agreed to wear tights after he loses! (SMILE!) Some of you have already been in contact with me and we will hook up soon! As we spoke over the phone I thought about what I would say to you after this is all said and done and we moved on to bigger and better things! Here goes nothing!

Sheriff: "You know Rah! We are opposites and yet the same! But if there were one thing that I could express to you to make my final point it is this! A man can say he does not give a damn! But he must first give a damn to even open his mouth and say that he doesn't! I think you do give a damn! Peace and blessings on you always... except when we fight of course!"

Now let every poster at BSH.com have a group hug (Ladies in the middle!) MRasheed... we need to talk ASAP! I'll see you at that alternate website! AHEM!

He called me a little after 9 on Friday.

He was laughing as he was trying to feel me out to see if I was irrational and pissed at him. I made a point to assure him that it wasn't personal. I told him that he simply tried to punk me with his hand speed and I was going to make him show me.

He was VERY much interested in my fighting experience. I told him in great detail what fighting means to me and how and why I've been so successful at it. He asked if I had any ring experience.

I told him I have one.

He tried to name drop me to death. His teacher is in Thailand training refugees in gorilla warfare and constantly defending his "King of Thailand belt" I said "Good, he sounds like a better fight."

He got quiet.

We talked about philosophy of fighting. He is brand new at it, but he's the kind of guy who thinks bull**** is invisible. He's so used to people nodding at him and smiling that he doesn't know that they all think he's a self serving moron. He grew up with a lot of white people and the hood secretly terrifies him, but he likes the tuff Negro image that his color affords him in the circles he travels in.

He told me that his boy owns the Gym that he linked. He said that he won't allow us to fight MMA, but only Mui Thai and ONLY without elbows. I said, "You had better find another gym then, hand speed."

He asked, "Do you fight with Mui Thai?"

I said, "Absolutely, but we are fighting with full MMA. Ain't no need in half stepping it now."

He said he would find another gym and that it would be easy in Cali.

He asked me what I thought of his posts.

I told him that IF he had read ANY of the stooge’s posts before he would have known that a grown ass man typing about wearing a costume then he would have known that questions would be raised.

He said he knew he had that coming.

He said that he started to respond to my story about throwing him out of the window but erased it and had to regroup.

I spent about 30 minutes explaining that I'm not an artist or writer and I DON'T have a project to sell to Hollywood.

He asked ,"Then why are you here, then?"

That was a fair question. I blamed it on my brother MRasheed.

He didn't know we were brothers. He said that they communicated on another site.

I told him that THAT explained why Mo wanted me to go easy on him, but he never said why.

He said that he was going to roast him on the other site.

I told him that the way he came on everybody as a bunch of worthless deadbeats turned everybody off.

He explained his thought process. More name dropping. "They gone be hating on me. I got from Jay Z........."

I told him to explain himself clearer. Those first impressions are a b*tch to get rid of.

He asked me a lot of personal questions. (Marine Corp combat experience, businesses, family,....)

I answered them.

At the end of about an hour and forty minutes I know everything I need to know about Iran Harris.

He's not a bad guy. He just don't know when to teach and when to learn.

The last thing he asked me was if I was still coming to Cali in Oct.

"Oh most definitely. You just find a MMA gym. If not I can fly you here to mine."

He said, "Actually...........it would be better if we did it here."

I said, "Then get on it man!"

Still waiting on MMA gym in Cali.

You know Rah! We are opposites and yet the same! But if there were one thing that I could express to you to make my final point it is this! A man can say he does not give a damn! But he must first give a damn to even open his mouth and say that he doesn't! I think you do give a damn! Peace and blessings on you always... except when we fight of course!

If a Man askes a MAN how  the first man feels about a particular topic and the second man answeres the first man that the second man "Don't give a sh!t" then just take the second man's word when the second man told your silly ass that he don't give a sh!t and stop trying to kick knowledge to the second man! Now man the hell up and pick us a damn MMA gym so that the second man can kick the first mans fast handed ass!

Where I'm from a man is accountable for his words. If a man tries to intimidate someone he always runs the risk of running into the wrong one.

Through my laughter( Which is incessant at this point) the question that keeps coming to mind is why?

One can be a fan of something to a great extent without having to inflate their own prowess/knowledge of the subject.

Perhaps, this wasn't the REAL Flex but rather his evil counterpart from another reality seeking to ruin his reputation!

I'm sure we will read all about it in the FLEX HECTIC comicbook series coming soon to your LCS. 8)

You know...I would probably believe that it was another dumbass (they Do grow on trees after all) in not for the link that Flex provided to this very website.

Also there are the "Superhero workout!" and the "black superhero vs the American Gangster" threads that he started as a direct yet passive aggressive stab at me that he posted on BSH and then I notice duplicated here.

Sorry, but there is only one waterhead on the internet spewing BS about how we need to wear costumes and sh*t.

And his character don't have on any fricken shoes!

Flex the hell Hectic

The best piece of self-defense "advice": lie on the ground so your kicks have more power. Yeah, and your HEAD is about five inches from the ground. Oh, and so is your attacker's foot!

Yeah, this clown actually had a dummy in his guard and grabbed it around the neck from the bottom.

I said, "you can't choke anybody from the guard unless:

a. It's a guillotine choke which is extremely difficult to start it from the guard.

b. It's a triangle choke with your legs. Most common and effective.

or

c. It's a sleeve choke. Again VERY rare. Conditions have to be damn near perfect.

All you are doing is hugging the man from the guard."

He came back with

Flex: It's NOT a CHOKE it's a "DECAPITATION".

Then he went on to tell me that he had a "team" of doctors from the national medical, blah, blah, namedrop fest 2009 helped him develop this move because the spine can easily come apart when you're laying down, blah, blah, blah, bullsh*t, blah.

Rah: So in other words...what you're saying is... "F#CK LOGIC AND REASON!" got it.

What the hell did I say that for. :)

more likely wineka or evanston...  ;D

and rah, I've been holding it in, but since others have sounded off.

It's no secret, I have an extreme distaste for cats who claim they know everything and wave their dick around the internet like anyone can actually see them and gives a sh*t. No one likes a know it all, and seeing one proved a fraud. Well. It's very satisfying.

I've had a few epic I-battles on this internet thing. When the smoke clears it's pretty funny when you look back. When I see an "expert" make fake claims I have to call them on it. It's the BS lie after lie to cover up what was obviously always a pile of sh*t and the attempted Jedi mind trick that tries to convince everyone who will listen that the chunks of corn in it is actually GOLD that makes it funny when it's all said and done.

When you make a youtube video to teach FAKE self defense moves and try to convice people "especially WOMEN" that the moves are real and puts them in a place of false security. It would be better if he would have just told people to run instead of trying to "DECAPITATE" a rapist with a "hug". I've been in a position to witness the after affects of a victimized woman.

Good to have you, and thanks for being respectful.

Good to be here...and ALWAYS!

There are indeed some TRUE martial artist in here. But none that would show the disrespect and dishonor you mentioned. Those that would don’t last very long here. Those members of HEF that follow the way.. rarely talk the talk and are more intent with walking the path of honor, respect, humility, courtesy and indomitable spirit.

Welcome to HEF.

So I've been reading...

Thank you

I saw this movie yesterday with my family.

I thought it was eye candy. It was a visual masterpiece.

The story...

I've seen this story a million times.

The weakest possible white person who can barely stand by himself has a few weeks of training sessions and becomes the best out of all who has been living (insert artform/lifestyle/martial art here) and beats the (master, king, leader) all because of his "heart"  ::)and the color of his skin.

Wanted, The Karate kid, the forbidden kingdom, Kungfu panda, any Jean Claude movie (you can always tell before he beats the master because he does the splits on top of something), star wars...

Why does hollywood keep making the same movie?

Because only two white people saw "The Last Dragon."

don't stir up sh*t in this thread. If you want to stir up sh*t, make another thread and then watch it get deleted. Stay on topic, it's not rocket science. You should know better jefferson.

No disrespect intended. I just saw that quote and figured to add my two.

Another thread has been started.
