True. I'm afraid for Freeform's Cloak & Dagger for that very reason. America always tunes out when it's a BM/WW pairing.

The Bat-God thing turned me off from Batman.
The fact that any one suggested he could beat a Kryptonian was ridiculous.
Like Supes can't just melt Bruce's head from a mile away. lol

I still have yet to see those rhinos at my local Wal-Mart.
All I've seen for the past two days are Killmonger, Panther, & Vibranium Panther.
I'm tempted to buy one but I think I'll wait until they're on Clearance.

I stopped liking Kitty Pryde after seeing those panels.

All that was started by one person with a cartoon avatar.  :o

Shipp is too young to be paired with Chadwick anyway.

We can just be honest about it

X-Force with Deadpool and Wolverine will happen
Deadpool and Spider-Man will somehow happen
Wolverine is going to fight Black Panther
Wolverine is going to fight get tossed around by Hulk
Rogue will be race bent
Weather chick will be co-leader with Summers
Weather chick will run into our buddy in Wakanda  ::)
Super Skrull will be in Captain Marvel
Doom will be made OP  ::)

Maybe Jubilee will be more than an extra. She's appeared in 2 movies. Somehow she was older in the 80's than she was in the 00's.

Storm will probably get a mention if not a brief cameo in Black Panther 2.

They could introduce the Fantastic Four in Black Panther 3. Reed, Sue, Ben, & Johnny being apart of Wakanda's first space exploration vessel but something goes wrong. Tho that depends on how isolationist the MCU Wakandans are. Considering T'Chaka's age in the MCU, they could've gotten lost in space during his prime years as Black Panther as that would be around the time America was investing into space exploration. Just make the excuse space gamma rays aged them slowly.

I think if we're making her inhuman, her power could be in her voice. She can use it to trigger an asmr-like affect. Sort of like Jigglypuff in the Pokemon cartoon where everyone fell asleep every time it sang. But she could use it to trigger any emotion she wanted out of a person/people.

However, I'd be fine combining Lynne and Rambeau into one character.

So you want her to be like Dazzler?

I think making her a platinum artist would be good addition but more Lauryn Hill and less Beyonce. Preferably a Lauryn Hill who didn't drop off the radar after her first solo album.

I also think she should be introduced under another name. A stage name. But her real name still remains Monica Lynne. Tho it might just be me but I don't want her to get mixed up with the other Monica. At one point, I thought they were the same character.

I don't think Gamora will die because she's too important of a character to the franchise. I think they'll tease us with a close death like Tony almost not making it back to Earth at the end of the first Avengers.

Has Marvel ever killed off an important character? None I can recall at the moment.

I really hope those guys who made the Black Panther fan film can create a BP vs BD fight for us fans. They can create a kickstarter to get make-up/costume for Black Dwarf.

I was wondering if any of you saw Coates panel with Jason Reynolds from about a month ago?

I'm not sure if it's been posted here.

I want Coates off BP but I wouldn't care if he wrote Storm...

Till I realized he'd have panels featuring T'Challa and find a way to make him look even more pitiful than the catty X-writers did.

So like... this just completely threw a wrench in Wakanda's unconquerable un-colonized title. They were in fact conquered, by Wakandans themselves.

I said this before with the Doras and again with Planet Bast/Wakanda. Coates is trying too hard to leave his mark on the Black Panther. But unlike past writers, he's trying to tackle everything. Some things are best left untouched. Which is sad to say because I've always wanted to read a story about the beginning of Wakanda. Bashenga especially.

Coates not only failed to see the point King T'Challa aka Black Panther, he also failed too understand the point of Wakanda as a whole.

What's next, T'Chaka abused T'Challa & Shuri like he was Joe Jackson and abused his wives like he was Ike Turner?

Why would someone who is new to writing fiction be given so much leeway to utterly destroy such a cornerstone of Marvel.

We talking ourselves into it bc it could be cool

But remember

Fictional super hero places exists to be blown up.

Wakanda haa some if the thickest plot armor bc of the unconquered thing and still gets blown up bi yearly lol

Gladiator gonna punch a hole through birnin tchalla lol

If it doesn't lead to FEATS then it's all but useless and we all know how it's going to end.

He's king of zombie land and king of a whole other planet but if he can't summon them up, teleport back and forth to either (without "help" from other characters),  or call an assist out to the intergalactic armada like a game of Marvel vs Capcom, then once again they've missed the mark.

Either we're using it for feats or someone else (like Doom or Namor... or Gladitator) will be using it for a feat.

We live in a Rumbles Board world.

I think this feat is less for T'Challa and more for Coates. This is his way of trying to make his run not look so... dry. The space empire for Coates will be what the T'Challa/Storm marriage was for Hudlin i.e one of the highlights people will continue to talk about for years.

Question (Strictly from a design and marketing perspective). Who's the target audience that this cover is trying to attract?
Longtime Panther fans won't dig it. New comers from the MCU will say "He was taking fire from a Helicopter gun in the movie, that's not the same guy". Totally unfamiliars maybe, I'm confused.

My guess is children as T'Challa's ripped up suit looks similar to Tobey Maguire's Spider-man suit during his final battle with Green Goblin. Coates claimed he wanted to make Black Panther some kid's Spider-man tho begs the question why he would include something as horrific as rape in a story to so called elevate T'Challa to Peter Parker levels of appeal.
