I wish a screening was close enough for me to take my younger siblings and cousins, but I will be purchasing it on DVD.

Can you believe we're debating the shape of the Earth instead of addressing that 80 out of the 100 largest cities will be submerged?

Who they hire to narrate, will be interesting.

I'm just starting Season 4 after needing a break from being able to predict every person of color's death. I have to admit that the Season 3 finale was excellent. I'm also pleased to finally see a Ra'as al Ghoul with melanin in his skin. Took long enough.

What has become of this project? Will Blue Ribbon content transfer the show over to DC Universe Streaming?

I am going to be very critical of him. His "we have no history" comments were disturbing and contrasted from his character of Killmonger who was well versed in the Diaspora.

I am sure she will be one of the first to get a pink slip from Marvel, thanking her for her "services". To quote Storm from a fan film, "Nobody will mourn you".

Sorry...

Kudos to the interviewer and the Black-ish/Grown-ish actress in this interview. I thought the actress gave a great answer, while the interviewer just ignored Rodriguez's outburst.

Rodriguez also did an interview with Sway and she 'cried' in that one, so maybe that's the one you are thinking about. I haven't been following this issue really, though I do think there is a pattern of other groups using black people to compare themselves to, often to the detriment of the black community. I always find it grating for example when some will say 'if I/we were black we wouldn't be treated or talked to/about a certain way' and I'm like, do you see how they talk about and treat black people? It's like they are using black people as a stepping stone. And also sometimes when there is a big hit like Empire or Black Panther, instead of celebrating as 'people of color' you might hear some griping, of the 'what about us' variety, as if black people haven't been putting in decades or longer of work just to get the meager things we do get.

When it comes to Sway, I look at him questionably since he had issues with a black R&B singer making a song that praised black women by asking that guy what about other women. So, I could see Rodriguez going to Sway's show because she knew he would be gentle with her and not go deep into exploring any anti-black sentiment she might have or the history of anti-blackness in Latino culture (s).

Sorry...

Sorry...
Sorry...

Rodriguez has had some Latinx cultural cred problems in the past and maybe her statements of black actresses plays into that:

Sorry...

Thank you for this thorough aggregation of videos and presenting your own opinion. I especially found what you said about her going to Sway's show very telling. The Black community often has this "Come on, guys, they didn't mean it" attitude to other minorities who use us as a stepping stone. So yes, she was not given the third degree.
