Hudlin TV / What If Killmonger saved Tony Stark episode (spoilers)

"Why wear the uniform of your oppressors?"
"You have to be a part of the system to change it"
-War Machine
""Nah, you can burn it down"
This ep solidifies Killmonger as the best villain in the MCU even if they pretty much turned him into a more intelligent Moses Magnum

Really dug this ep, how many times T'challa gotta be killed in the MCU though? Sheesh

Milestone Media / OG Blood Syndicate issue 1

DC Milestone was the best when it came out. Seen so many racy comics that have come out since that are extreme for extreme's sake and have shock value for lack of creativity in many Punisher and other Garth Ennis related material as well as things like Stormwatch and The Authority and the Elite but Blood Syndicate is the OG and everything in this series had a reason for it and was necessary, from Wise Son's cursing to all the extreme violence. Best part is when the reporter gets her head blown off and Flashback goes back in time for 3 seconds to save her. Holocaust just says to Flashback "tell your friend to be more careful" after he burns a man into ashes. McDuffie was ahead of his time and his career later showed and proved that. Cover art by Cowan and Palmiotti as well as pencils by Black Lightning alumni Trevor Von Eeden are all icing on the cake to one of the best issue no. 1 comics ever!

Other Comics / Batman 89

got the reg and variant issues of Batman 89. I also remember that Marlon Wayans was to play Robin who I think shows up in this series as well. I'm pretty sure that's him at the end of the first issue.

The first hour of playing as T'challa is cool but then it goes back to the same old boring Avengers game. Judge said in negotiations to play T'challa that one of the requirements was that the Avengers couldn't be coming to Wakanda to save them but instead to get help. I appreciated that.

Black Panther / anyone read Avengers Mech Strike?
« on: August 18, 2021, 09:27:37 am »
Avengers Mech Strike with Kang as the antagonist has some pretty interesting developments happen with T'challa and Thanos. Not sure if any of these things get referenced in the main Avengers comics but they certainly are significant.

Hudlin TV / T'challa as Star Lord in What If ep 2

What did y'all think? Something about 2 actors that have played T'challa in some capacity sharing scenes together.

Does anyone know if that picture ever came out as a poster? I have extra copies of the sealed poly bagged issue 1 of the original Static, Hardware, Icon and Blood Syndicate that I was going to open and put the the picture together on a wall, however the issues are worth more when sealed and if there is a poster that can be obtained I would prefer that as last time I put the picture together they don't line up that nicely.

oh my goodness are we just gonna keep posting links or talk about the subject?

I hope, some if not all of, the cast truly have enough love and respect for what Chadwick Boseman put into Black Panther to see the necessity of continuing T'Challa's legacy.

Next summer's movie competition will be hot. Black Adam comes out July 29th, 2022 just three weeks after Black Panther. Some other heat comes from John Wick: Chapter 4, Mission: Impossible 7, Buzz Lightyear (without Tim Allen?!?), Minions: The Rise of Gru, and these three monsters Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 3, Jurassic World: Dominion, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. Let's not forget Indiana Jones 5 and Marvel's own Thor Love and Thunder. This is just the summer releases. Year in superheroes films coming out include Morbius, The Batman, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2, The Flash and last but not least The Marvels. Competition will be high.
With Chadwick Boseman on board I would have no doubt that Black Panther Wakanda Forever could have been the highest grossing movie of the year. If they recasted and promoted like they did the first BP I would have had little doubt that BP2 could've been the biggest movie of the year. As is currently however I have some serious doubt. Marvel's one saving grace to help ensure massive box office returns is the question what happened to T'Challa. If they kill him off it could go either way. If they have him absent for some reason then show him in a brilliantly done post credit scene forecasting his return in BP3 all bets are off.

Is that Doom in the middle? And I didn't see Matrix 4 listed.
