Black Panther / Re: BLACK PANTHER MOVIES - Wakanda Forever!

Salute to Eman.

For those that will still see the film and are fans of the other MCU characters, I hope this direction is successful. I also hope that everything gets ironed out with Letitia Wright, because her Shuri has many, many fans.
I will not be wishing for anyone’s downfall.

For me, ‘Black Panther 2’ may now simply join the long list of other comic based (or otherwise) films that were not intended for me, not targeting me, and I’m fine with that. I wasn’t sure the first one was going to be for me, but I was pleasantly surprised when it went above and beyond my expectations.
These companies try to reach as broad an audience as they can, and with that ever expanding net, some of us are going to slip through. Then sometimes you’ll get a narrowed approach like the Snyder-Verse, and still end up alienating people with my taste in storytelling.

Anyway, unless the trailer for ‘Wakanda Forever’ presents a variant T’Challa that singes my eyebrows off, I’ll be disconnecting from the entire Disney conglomerate.

That art is very nice, great use of models and sfx.

For now, I’ll take the view of more Wakandan content = more fertile ground for T’Challa based adventures, more opportunities to improve on existing characters as well as create new ones, and more Afro-Futurism in the public consciousness.

The comic promo failed to inspire the confidence that I hoped it would.

So far as I can tell only 1 person has claimed to translate the columns, and that same twitter poster said that it wasn't the throne room in the same sentence. It most certainly is the throne room.

It may turn out to be an immemorial addition to the throne room, but for now let's be cautious before confirmation.

I know that on this sight we are true Black Panther fans, on the CBR I'm not so sure (I do recognize the OGs over their though). It seems the positive news is largely ignored or buried by the negative gossip. Just wanted to say I'm glad you guys keep this forum alive.

I dug Majors’ take on ‘He Who Remains’. For me he embodied a man ravished by the weight of knowledge and time.
I liked the nod to the ‘Immortus’ costume, and I look forward to Majors’ other iterations of Nathaniel Richards, especially ‘Kang the Conquer’.

I really liked the design of the aliens.
The movie itself was frustrating at best. The first two sections were going along smoothly until they sidelined a couple of interesting characters to force some drama between the lead and his daughter. Also, if you going to wait ¾ of the film to tell me where these not intelligent enough to fly here themselves aliens came from, I rather it not be a rehash of ‘The Thing’.
That first section in Miami had potential though.

Yep, it's still a dope piece, the overall composition and framing of T'Challa pulls it together nicely.

I know some of you guys are inspiring artists, so here’s a simple tip that will improve your piece when drawing leopards/panthers.

Do not use dogs as references ever. If you use lions as references, know that you’ll have to alter the muzzle to match that of a leopard’s.

This is not a slight on the above cover, but I see this a lot in Black Panther art and I know that it is easy to pick up bad habits.
 ;)

I like the title, and I’ll patiently wait to hear more about the fate of T’Challa via storyline, before passing further judgement. I'm still hoping for a satisfying solution.
