At the risk of sounding like the president of his fan club Marvel has a writer the caliber of Priest our own Redjack aka Geoffrey Thorne. Just leave him alone and let him write 4 or more arcs before pulling the rug out. I subscribed to Mosaic without reading the first issue because he was writing it.

I’m happy to see Priest back though. No doubt.

Let’s not forget Redjack’s Sword if Damocles Star Trek Novel. A smart intelligent well told story. I can read anything this man writes.

Hard Choices / Re: Miles & Trane or Miles & Wayne?
« on: August 01, 2014, 07:57:30 am »
I was trying to post a picture but I'm out of practice. Considering my boxer and shepherd are named Miles and Trane I guess you know how I'm voting on this one! Although I don't have a lot of Miles and Wayne to compare from but I will certainly begin sampling.

Hard Choices / Re: Donny Hathaway or Otis Redding

Otis was my mothers cousin. But seriously, not even close  Donny. Maybe the GOATin terms of voices. Nah. Imma say it. The most soulful voice of all time. His live stuff. I'm mad that I was born too late to see him. And that I was born too late to marry Pam Grier but thats another story.

Hard Choices / Re: Peabo Bryson or James Ingram (old school singers)
« on: August 01, 2014, 07:48:40 am »
Peabo. But James was a beast too. It's a shame, my thirteen year old loves some guy named Sam Smith. When I was thirteen in pretty sure I bought the 45 of "let the feeling flow".  If there was a talent Olympics those cats would blow all of theses so called pop stars away. I know. I'm who I said I would never be, but damn it's true. This crap is not music!!!! Sorry. Getting off my soap box now.

En Vogue. Voices and Legs.

Respect to all three but Muhammad Ali easily. Nobody made the sacrifices he did. Which made his redemption all the more meaningful. And on top of that, all that charisma and flavor. Not to mention being the GOAT. He was one of the giants of the 20th century, let alone among athletes.

“No Viet Cong ever called me nigger.”

Honorable Mention to Tommie Smith and John Carlos.

Thank you brother Metcalf. Well said.
