Is it me or is James Blake back. So glad he is back and doing his thing. As for the ladies, my dislike for Sharapova is being increased daily. I rully, rully, hope that Synder kicks her arse.  ;D

General Discussion / The Humor Thread: Tales from the Tavern.
« on: August 04, 2006, 12:20:08 am »
In the memory of Sunjata, who is M.I.A., I present the humor thread. Like its parent thread this one is intend for release and a good joke every once in a while.

Among the many universal languages is humor, without further adue:

An Illinois man left the snowballed streets of Chicago for a vacation in Florida. His wife was on a business trip and was planning to meet him there the next day. When he reached his hotel, he decided to send his wife a quick e-mail.

Unable to find the scrap of paper on which he had written her e-mail address, he did his best to type it in from memory. Unfortunately, he missed one letter, and his note was directed instead to an elderly preacher's wife whose husband had passed away only the day before. When the grieving widow checked her e-mail, she took one look at the monitor, let out a piercing scream, and fell to the floor dead.

At the sound, her family rushed into the room and saw this note on the screen:

Dearest Wife,

Just got checked in. Everything prepared for your arrival tomorrow.

Your Loving Husband.

P.S. Sure is hot down here.

...to his younger brother Raul. This comes after Castro underwent suregry for intestinal complications. This is the first time since 1959 that Castro has done something like this. Raul is said to take over control in military descisions and the communist party. I couldn't find any articles or editorials on the matter, so excuse my synopsis.

I believe this is a temperory move for the almost 80 years old, Castro.

What's your opinions? I'm only checking the main CW title not the other connected issues.

So I guess I go,

The Superhero Registration Act at first was not something I was for. So I might be prejusice at first. But, the newest details on this "Act" mirrors the prejudical things we see in real life. Superheroes are autmoactially seen as dangers--eff that--people who are born with powers are seen as threats. Whether or not they use their powers. Wtf. Tony Starks first hand meeting with that kid's mother made his position understanble. His argument had merit, even if I though it was stupid. Now, Marvel cannot ever let a good thing keep going--they gotta mess up. They made Tony looks like Uncle Tom who is capturing workers for the government so that he can have a good night sleep. The point is superheroes whether alien or not neglect the lives of others.

Anycase, I think Tony is go high up on his ego-horse that he swears he is Iron Jesus. This whole thing reeks. DC would've never...heheh.

As an argument to anti-folks like myself...Do you think Cap is actually going to change anything with his underground club?
