Gotcha.  :D

So, leaving out GotGv2 the final stone has to appear somewhere. Guess that leaves Thor 3.

Yeah we have, what, two more stones to go, right? This one and the another that will be Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2.

Also...is it too much to hope that Mordo is somehow really Doctor Voodoo?  :-X

I haven't seen it yet but a friend whose opinion I trust says it has the same pacing problems as BvS but that's about it, its otherwise enjoyable and fun.

I'll make it a point to catch it before it leaves theaters.

Superman is not at the forefront because DC decided that only Batman matters now. They even killed the guy so Batman could speechify on top of his gravesite. Hell, they even allowed him to have a real sequel to his movie. They had Batman hijacking his sequel. That been said I don't think he will stay dead beyond half of the movie time. They will resurrect him after the first hour or so if they do it before that time perhaps he will return as a brainwashed minion of Steppenwolf so Batman can beat him again.

I get all this I'm just saying I don't agree with this direction. At all. Plus it was DC's bright idea to turn Superman into basically Batman with powers. It was DC's bright idea to take the problems of Man of Steel and DOUBLE DOWN on them in the sequel. Or rather DC placing faith in Snyder to do all of the aforementioned stuff. It would be one thing if they gave the best interpretation of Superman and it failed. But for some reason DC puts faith in directors who think a morose Superman is the way to go. It doesn't compute a Superman who is actually about hope and not depressed nor doubting himself can actually work.

Trust me I get what is happening, all that you have said. I just feel its boneheaded. At this point it might be a weird case of DCCU surviving in spite of itself if it survives at all.

no, this was in the new 52

Ah. I gave up on DC a few reboots ago. I owned the Tower of Babel series so that's why that was fresh to me. Not sure why its suddenly not valid but oh well.

I am not a DC fanatic but I do know recently....

Batman had a "contengency" plan for the JL... the usual stuff. The only contingency plan he had for Wonder Woman was Super Man. Which is why there romatic relationship scared people a bit.

Are you talking about Tower of Babel? Cause Batman's contingency plan for Wonder Woman in that story was to inject her with nanites to make her think she was fighting an unbeatable opponent so she would eventually tire herself to death literally.

Yeah I'm guessing they're setting Mordo up to be a recurring villain a la Loki.

The only difference so far is its a World War I setting instead of World War II (not sure why they felt they had to do that or even wanted to do that.)

I'd imagine to avoid comparison to Captain America: The First Avenger. Plus, well, movies that take place in WWII is kinda old hat anyway. WWI kinda gets ignored. I gotta admit if it did take place during WWII I wouldn't be so enthused.

I'm concerned about Superman's absence as well. A Justice League without him front and center feels wrong. And if he's resurrected at the end/after credits would be bull since he's not on the slate for the near future (no announcement for Man of Steel 2 for instance).

I always thought he was the anchor for JL.

He didn't appear to be the anchor in that trailer, Batman did.  :-\ Though it may not be the "official" trailer and something DC threw together. So maybe they'll hint at him in Official Trailer #2 or #3, but that's wishful thinking plus its a long ways off.

Curious at this Aquaman. I actually loved nu52 aquaman as far as a read it anyway before I dropped all DC. I like Mamoa but I am not sure if he can be a main star type of actor. Seems they just went "if you think Aquaman is a joke, WE WILL JUST CAST A MANLY MAN!" type of thing. Hopefully there is some subtlety and kingliness about him.

I don't watch Game of Thrones, but apparently its a big deal that "Khal Drogo" is playing Aquaman. To me he'll always be Ronon though. But its cool he's playing him.

I'm curious about the villain too. I'm guessing we caught a glimpse of her in the mask. At first I was thinking Dr. Poison or Baroness Paula von Gunther. But looking at the cast list, Orana is in the movie. Maybe somehow she's the villain.

What, they going to kill off Klaw in the first 10 mins like they did Crossbones?

Not necessarily. He could be a recurring villain that is finally killed in Black Panther 3.

Must be a new villain because can't be Kilmonger

...why "can't" he be?  Height?  ???

that and just overall build plus age

He's too young to be Killmonger (Chadwick is older)?  ??? He can be any age they say his character is, same as Chadwick. Plus Hardy is much shorter than Bale was in The Dark Knight Rises yet thanks to movie magic he appeared to tower over him. Build? Have you seen how built he is in Creed?

and I'd rather someone darker that you could make an African accent more credible.

...what?

Lets learn from the Halle Berry as Storm mistake.

...what? Jordan is light skinned to you?

I would really like to see Wesley Snipes in the movies in some shape or form being that he was attached to a BP film coming out for so long

Fancastings aren't happening. Jordan's here. Sorry. Now whether he's playing Killmonger. That I'll give you, but I think he is. Again we'll see. Interesting to know your reasons against though.

where does that leave Andy Serkis's Klaw character? His claim to comic fame is killing T'challa's father and Zemo already did that so.................

Switch it to killing T'challa's mother before the events of CA:CW. Or give him a different relevance to BP altogether that would make them enemies.

( Lateef Crowder would be great)

Maybe but I guess Marvel/Coogler disagrees.

or Man Ape.

I...really don't want to see Man Ape in any shape or form on screen. And with Coogler at the helm, who seems to be taking this seriously, I doubt we will anyway. Thankfully.

What yall think

I think he's more than likely Killmonger. But I guess we'll see in the coming days.
