Walter Mosley has created a new series character, Leonid McGill.  The setting is in the 21 st Century, but back in NYC.

I do like the Limbo/Death and Shuri in the panther-herb garden sequences.  I get a feeling of flow from those pages.

How foxy are the bi-racial and Asian chicks in this sequel?
Nothing else in this series can capture my interest.

If Brubaker's Cap is like espionage novels, the his Daredevil's have that urban crime flavor.  Good stuff. I had to cut back on titles when Matt got out of jail but I'm sureto catch up for this Kingpin arc.

I'm gonna wait on the TPB collecting the story arcs.

They had a monitor playing the motion-comic for the BET preview.

Lashley's artwork might feel like classic Jim Lee. except he doesn't zip from one moment to the next. Unlike Jim Lee we're getting about three to six panels per page instead of less than four. The story is progressing rather slowly, but it's a steady pace.

Not much of a Lee fan, but I was thinking more of IMAGE's style a la Rob Leifeld - though much less bloated.

Nice turn out.  Reg was enjoyin' the moment and generatin' sales. Had to bethe coolest sigining I've ever been to, especially when the comic world intersected the world of PFunk.   8)

How LONG is this arc, anyway? Six issues? I hate to be three in and STILL not give a sh*t about this relaunch, but I don't.

I'm having problems with how sparse the dialogue and narrative captions are kept.  I'm not feeling any narrative flow.  Lashley's art is exceptional, but it's all pin-ups, poses and close-ups. Nothing makes me move panel to panel. I just jump and stare at each panel.

Not feeling this Shuri character.  She's talks too much and doesn't "do".  I guess she's brash and overconfident, but Reg had to me that.

I like diggin' into the African planes of alternate reality like the spirit world, while maintaining plots in the physical world. Things can only get better.

LA heads!

Where y'all at?

Man! There are too many titles on the market and they cost entirely too much!  True, overall production qualtiy is up 100,000%, but I am on a tight post bail-out budget. If it's a weak story don't come 'round my way.  Multi-title crossovers need to back da F*** up!  I can't get with 'em,  if they cut into bill-paying money.
