The whole family saw it. The kids visited set years before they could think about seeing something this ill.

But now, they are ready and they LOVED it!

I did too.  Been so many years, I could watch it as a fan, not a producer.  Damn I"m proud.  Best slavery movie of all time.

Thoughtful, smart, with one of the greatest speaking voices I ever heard.  Low and authortive, yet folksy.  Glad I got to spend time with him while making BLACK GODFATHER.

I've watched it twice now.  Like John Wick, directed by the stunt coordinator turned director.  Great production design, performances, everything.  Great camerawork by Tom Sigel, my DP from MARSHALL.  Good kick ass action.  My son said I undersold it.  Nice!

Just watched GODFATHER 2 with my son.  He loved it.  I loved watching him love it.  And get it.

I watched EXTRACTION last night.  Damn good!

Hudlin TV / The Clark Sisters Movie

It was a huge hit, and I see why!  Lots of soap opera drama, and real SANGANG, not just lip syncing!  And they cast real big ladies to star in it.  And because we don't know every detail of their lives, the story was fresh.  And now having seen it, I agree it could have been a two parter.  By the end of the film they were sprinting to fit in all the craziness that happened.

Love Roland.  We need more black independent journalists like him. And I wish more institutions would support journalists like him so they didn't have to be independent.

I finished the WAR OF THE WORLDS first season, and looking forward to season two.

My daughter and I watched BIRDS OF PREY and were both disappointed. She was a big Suicide Squad fan, and loves Harley, but not the film.

I'm six episodes into WAR OF THE WORLDS which has too much repetition but I'm still in.

My son and I followed up on THE SHINING with DOCTOR SLEEP, a decades later sequel that came out last year.  Following Kubrick is an impossible talk, but what's hella cool about it is the black teen girl who is the hero of the story.  Wow!!!

Did a scary movie double feature with my son:

Cloverfield, which holds up incredibly well;

and The Shining, which is also good, but a lot more straightforward then when I saw it when it came out.  The overuse of dissolves between scenes really struck me. But my son dug it.  He totally tuned into the use of tracking and Kubrick's compositional style.
