Black Panther / Zawadi
« on: November 30, 2009, 09:25:45 am »

Zawadi was known to her people as a wild and free spirit. At some point in her life she ate the sacred heart-shaped herbs which only the Black Panther (s) is supposed to eat. She was in Wakanda when she encountered Ulysses Bloodstone facing off against a Tyrannosaurus Rex. Zawadi helped Bloodstone kill the T. Rex and then accompanied him back to New York City, where she and Bloodstone teamed up with Doctor Druid and Makkari to form the Monster Hunters. The Monster Hunters were active during the 1950s and fought against Kro of the Deviants as well as a a variety of monsters.

After eating the herbs she received super senses, strength, agitlity, and endurance. Has powers comparable to the Black Panther, but is less skilled and experienced in martial arts, fighting, etc. Her name means "Precioius Gift"in Swahili.

After the battle with the Skrull monster the remaining Monster Hunter's disbanded, and Zawadi was never seen again.

How does she fit with/into The Black Panther lore comic/comic history/etc or how would you make her fit?

Other Comics / Armando Muņoz /Darwin
« on: November 10, 2009, 01:49:10 pm »

The half-black, half-latino Armando Muņoz manifested his ability of reactive evolution soon after birth and because of it his mother despised him. He was found by some scientists who experimented on the boy, making his existence known to the public. Moira MacTaggert then took him in as one of her own, and he became a member of the "Missing X-Men" alongside Sway, Petra and Kid Vulcan.

After Vulcan is found many years later he comfronted the X-Men. Marvel Girl sensed that Darwin still resided within Gabriel so she used her telepathic powers to draw him out, which injured Vulcan in the process. The X-Men saw in this their chance of defeating him, but Vulcan was still stronger than they thought and he managed to escape. The crisis past, Beast noticed that Darwin’s remains were still alive, and were starting to restore his body. One week passed and at the Institute’s lab, the Professor and Beast both watched how Darwin’s body restored itself, using nothing but pure energy.

Sometime after Messiah Complex, Darwin goes in search of Professor Xavier because he wants to help him. He encounters  Longshot, who tries to lead him to the Professor by using his powers. Longshot, however is unsure if his powers have been working correctly and tests them out on a group of people which turn on Darwin and attack. After a brief fight, Darwin manages to get away and the crowd turn on Longshot. Afterward, Longshot meets back up with Darwin and they are attacked by  Jazinda and  She-Hulk who are trailing after Longshot, who is really a  Skrull named Nogor. Darwin also develops a crush on  Monet.

Darwin is an Omega-level mutant.

Instantaneous Adaptation: powers of self-protection and continuous circumstantial evolution. Darwin is able to adapt to any situation. His reactive mutation adjusts his capabilities to his environment. For example  his lungs would adapt to poisoned air, gaining night vision after being in the dark for several seconds. He became impervious to heat or smoke in a fire and he would grow gills when put underwater. Being able to survive without oxygen when in space, his skin becoming fire-proof when it is exposed to flames, his body becoming pure energy, his intelligence increasing itself or the understanding of the Shi'ar language by looking at it in written form.

However his powers do not always take the effect he desires as during his fight with the Hulk his body teleported him away from the battle rather than supplying a power that would allow him to defeat the Hulk.
