Hudlin TV / CW's "ARROW"
« on: October 11, 2012, 03:29:53 pm »
So I watched the season premiere of Arrow and I really liked it.
I watched it on accident. I didn't even know it was about to come on.
The Family Feud went off and lo & behold, Arrow comes on. I thought it was a preview or something until I realized it was the show.
I'll be tuned in next week.  This is a good show to be tagged up with Supernatural.
Thanks to Arrow, which had the best premiere ratings sinces Vampire Diaries, Supernatural had its best ratings in 2 years.

Latest Flicks / Hudlin & RZA develop Morrison's Happy

Did Reggie Reg tell us about this project?
OR did Reggie Reg slip us an easter egg awhile back when he reviewed "Happy" the comic book?
I kinda remember him making some type of comment about the book.

Anyway, here is the link to CBR about the project:

Congrats brother man!

I really enjoyed the premiere episode last night. Andre's character had the coldest line uttered by ANYONE this season on any tv show: "Test us and we'll all burn..."

I will definitely be tuning in next week.

Acting / Michael Clarke Duncan passed away today.

I was hoping that this was a celebrity rumor, but is not.

Black Panther / Sturm Und Drang III
« on: August 20, 2012, 06:14:08 am »
It has to be coming.
I want it to come.
T'challa has beef with Namor AND Doom.
This political theater beef has been taken up several notches and someone must pay.

It could be a mini-series for all I care.
It just has to happen.

(sends job application to Mr. Hudlin, Liss & Hickman)

Hudlin TV / BIG BROTHER (Summer 2012)
« on: July 12, 2012, 07:57:07 am »
Yeah, I'm a Big Brother fan. It's my summertime guilty pleasure.
I actually auditioned for this season in Atlanta...but no one from Atlanta was chosen. (It's all good. The Feud turned out to be a better in my opinion. Can't wait until you all see it)
There is only ONE Black person this season and it's a woman.
I hope she makes it to the final 2 or 3. Last season, the Black woman made it to top 4.

Whatever happens, it'll wash the stink of that ABC show, Glass House, out of my brain. I only watched the first episode and it was terrible.

ps: there's a secret twist. 4 former contestants return. Who? we don't know. They are playing their own game and won't affect the newbies winning the 500, 000$. Can't wait!

Black Panther / Is The Black Panther Push Truly In Effect?
« on: June 06, 2012, 06:14:24 am »
Yesterday I read an article about the secret 2014 Marvel movie being "Black Panther" and that this info, which comes from Latino Review (and also posted on SuperHeroHype), will be presented at this year's Comic Con.  (Here is the article:

With that, my mind started racing right before I awoke this morning.  Despite the "job" T'challa had to take in "Doom"war, is Black Panther about to become a household name?  In my mind, this is how I connected the dots.

1. Liss tries valiantly to return T'challa/BP to prominence by making him The Baddest Man Alive.  Once you get passed the premise, Liss did a great job of washing the Maberry ick off of him and returning him back to a level of prominence.

2. The Invincible Iron-Man cartoon: A lot of people like to reference his kick-assness from the episodes that he has been in. That's a great sign. They made T'challa cooler, smarter and better than Tony his own cartoon!

3. Avengers: Earth's Mightest Heroes: When the intro is all said and done, T'challa is standing tall with the other Avengers in the intro. Then when he is on the show, he gets some good screen time with some killer moves. I read a quote somewhere where a kid was like "I never heard of Black Panther before" but if he is anything like he is on A:EMH, then I definitely want to see this movie. Bravo Marvel for planting that seed in the younger generation.

4. Marvel reps who keep saying "Something big is coming for T'challa." We don't believe them because they've been saying this for ages. As long as it isn't a divorce then I'm good. But so far, we get them paired up against each other in AvX? Greaaaaat. Thanks.

5. Wakandan World Tour: Wakanda is about to be the star of the show in the upcoming issues of FF, Fantastic Four and Defenders! (Am I missing any other upcoming books?) Does this mean T'challa is the once and future king...again? Does this mean Hickman gets to go all super-writery on T'challa like he has done for FF and S.H.I.E.L.D.? "I hope so. I loved S.H.I.E.L.D. and FF made me a fan of the Fantastic Four universe. "It has Artie in it for crying out loud!"

6. And now this announcement. I don't want to get my hopes up just yet. I guess I have to wait and see what happens in the upcoming comic books and by that time...Comic Con will be here.

What say you?

Yeah...I lurk on the CBR Panther discussion boards from time to time and something happened. I assume it was a flamewar but I want specifics. The mods these are hushing things up and getting the thread back on track.

Were you there when it happened?

If you play it, then  add me as an ally!

Hudlin TV / SCANDAL (THE new show you MUST watch)
« on: April 06, 2012, 09:11:16 am »
What up HEF?
Shonda Rhimes has done it again.  I love how she creates shows that are now only well written, acted and directed, but they always have a Black character in a HIGH or lead position while being inviting to white people.
SCANDAL is a great show and Kerry Washington is awesome in this role. It's good to see Columbus Short doing his thing on the small screen as well.
  Did you watch it?
I think "Thursday on ABC" is Shonda Rhimes' middle name. lol.

Olivia Pope (K. Washington) and her associates are lawyers who do damage control for high profile clients. No courtrooms...they deal with the court of public opinion.

If you haven't seen it, then go to OR and watch it asap! Once you do, then come back here and let's discuss it.

Olivia Pope is a great character. As good at her job as she is, she is morally flawed and that makes her even more interesting. I don't want to spoil anything.

The President is...a bit of a cad in this show. I see why she used a white President cuz President Obama would be catchin' hella flack right now. hahahha. You know it's true.
