Black Panther / Re: A team for BP

Wouldn't their name be a Wakanda acronym instead of an English one?

good point, but (and i'm not trying to insult you or anything) i guess the wakandans would still refer to a group of large cats as a "pride," so it still works, however i do see where you're going

Anybody up for a remake of the Black Musketeers? Or can we kill them to make way for the new team (preferable)?

I've got Priest BP's in trade paperback ... sounds like it's time I pull 'em out and read 'em ... to find out about this Ross guy.

Someone's not paying attention.  Man-Ape was killed last issue and now is a member of the Lethal Legion mini-series.

Tsk, Tsk.  Pay attention Marvel.

Maybe it takes place before BP #4? Seems like a big goof....or QDJ is the new Man-Ape!!!

Man-Ape should combine his name and call himself MAPE!

Makeshift Anthropomorphic Primatial Evolution!

(just a thought)

nice one Flex, but it kinda reminds me of rape...maybe a new character trait...ewwwww

Ross as King was a ploy brilliantly used by TChalla to draw out, identify and subsrquently dispense with BP's (at that time) unknown foes.

The opening story with him, Satan and the pair of pants was one of the first times a comic had me laughing out loud in years.

quoted for truth!
that scene with all the pants had me rollin'..hahahha... outloud.
funniest thing i read and had seen in a comic book in a LONG time.
I was hoping that the whole series would be painted like those first few issues...oh well... still funny.
"jungle boogie" at the airport in a miata was funny, too!

cosign, cosign, cosign.

BTW, does anybody know what crew that is that the Black Pantheress is about to whoop up on?

Yeah, I still think he was a great character.  I recently re-read the entire run and didn't think he played as big of a part as I thought I remembered he did--never had a problem with him, but I think it was his parts that I remembered the most so it seemed like he was the main character.

Forgive me with my street cred interpretation of this issue.  I can not recall during the Priest run how TPG played a role within the challenges facing T'Challa in a effective presentation similar in the way R has written (throughout R's writing of all BP issues).

I don't recall the Panther God ever saying anything to Killmonger after he consumed the sacred herb.

True, but the Panther God wasn't really involved in that run, plus, Killmonger was put into a coma, which could be viewed as the PG's response...and I still think I'd rather see Shuri train as some sort of White Tiger-ish person alongside Kasper.

Does Planet Doom or whatever still exist?  BP should roll up there and just take out a whole planet!!!

That would make an interesting twist as far as what Priest depicted Where Storm tells T'challa he is becoming more like Magneto.

What if the answer to who killed his father was at stake?

This would make a compelling story in relation to what was going on in the Bush administration.

Just how panther would The Panther go to win at all costs?

Yeah, if we can't get Hunter back I would like to see a more aggressive Panther; I just want to see him handle his biz, no prisoners style

Wasn't there an energy dagger that felt like it was cutting even though it wasn't actually leaving a visible wound?

That would make one heck of a torture weapon.

Black Panther doesn't torture people!

Yeah, but the Hatut Zeraze certainly did  ;)

Exactly. I really liked when KillPanther was part of the Avengers because he had zero respect for his teammates and their non-violent, wait-and-see ways, so I would love to see how he handles being around like-minded individuals who aren't afraid to kill and backstab

Probably wrong thread, but I don't feel like starting a new one right now but...

Does anyone think Killmonger should be a part of one of these Dark teams?  He seems like a perfect candidate and any conversation between him and his "lesser" teammates would be golden.

I agree, but as much as I love seeing T'Challa put paw to ass, I love even more seeing the people, his subjects, acting around him and getting things done. Showing how competent everybody else around him is speaks highly of his leadership skills and his trust for the people he relies on and makes me respect him even more.
