I like this one a lot too...does anybody know who the artist is?  It reminds me a little of BP 2099.

Hopefully Marvel will make that variant Storm cover into a poster.

Yeah, I'm totally getting the variant over the JRJR cover.

Black Panther / Re: Which villains do you want the Panther family to face?

Just off the dome, but what if Killmonger just straight up killed the Queen Mother, like, brutally?  Hardcore mortal kombat style, I would love to see the reaction to that.

Power-wise, give him some laser beam wristbands or a light tech upgrade-not a full body suit like iron man/iron panther, but maybe a bone-colored exoskeleton to throw down in, like he's wearing someone's skeleton.

You know, I can also see Mr. Sinister causing some trouble. Maybe somehow he finds out about the special herb and is interested in T'Challa's blood line. Thus could lead to some interesting stories including him seeing just how powerful Storm is and also want to do his own experiments.

Good call on that one, you'd think he would be very interested in uninterrupted eugenics dating back centuries; Wakanda should be a genetic goldmine to him.

awesome... so we get six issues of Doomwar. Nice.

Yeah, now I'm even more excited...interesting that this is longer than Siege...maybe because there's no tie-ins?

Weird...nobody's told me about it being a six-issue series.  Not yet anyway.

LOL, better get to work! ;)

I am a little surprised that T'Challa seems tentative about walking around in his habit...but I'll take it over nothing.

Wow...lots of interesting suggestions.  I've already pitched the next arc (following DoomWar) and depending on the feedback I get there may very well be some of these characters tied up in Wakanda's future.

How far in advance to you plan your (comic) stories?  Depending on an idea's reception by the P.T.B. do you have certain plot points you want/need to hit no matter what and then remap the rest as you go?

There's been a quiet-but-steady movement of Storm fans who have pledged to support the book again if/when Shuri gets killed. I can't promise the same, but I will be willing to give it another look.* In the meantime, the event they're most looking toward (the ones who've bothered to even stick around) is Shuri getting her ass whipped. I haven't seen a character so universally loathed by an entire group of people since Davy Cameron. Even Panther Storm fans can't stand her.

*Wait, who am I kidding? I still wouldn't touch it.

If you're waiting around to see Shuri get bumped off, you'd better get comfortable because that's going to be a loooooooong wait.

hahahaha.  *Tosses Jenn a pillow and slippers*

For guest stars, I think the following would be cool:

11. The Hulk: He's in Wakanda...I don't know why, but he's there. And he's angry. Not only the green one, but the red one, too. And what if it was the SMART green Hulk? (or was the grey Hulk the smart one)? Could Panther and Storm out-smart a smart, rampaging Hulk?

WWH always bothered me.  You're meaning to tell me T'Challa can destroy half the world beating Doom and is unflinchingly prepared to slap Galactus upside his head, but can't beat the Hulk?  Really?  If there is a team-up book, it should star Happy-pants Panther--just think of the fun he and Deadpool could have!

As Much As I love Ken, Conrad is no slouch, I mean I don't remember the last time I got to read a comicbook, in which the black character's eached looked different and had their own distinct facial features, on thing I can say about Conrad is that he take the time to make each one of his African/African American characters look unique. Plus He Draws Shuri with a Super Booty!  ;D

I also really liked Conrad, he's certainly better than a lot of other artists I've seen.  I've been trying to wrap my head around the...I dunno...dislike?...for him.  Is his style not distinct enough? I don't particularly like either the guy who was working on Astonishing X-Men or the other guy earlier on Cap, but theirs were considered phenomenal. (too lazy to look up their names, maybe later)

I really liked Toltec from the last Moon Knight series.  As far as I know, there's almost no information about him aside from having something to do with an Aztec/Mayan/Incan-whatever God.
