Spirituality / New Church In 2011?
« on: January 01, 2011, 02:02:37 pm »
Well you know 2011 is all about changes. Here am I about to try and find a new church after about 28 years of being at the same one. It is so hard and kind of weird. In Los Angeles we have 3 major AA churches. I/we have decided to go somewhere closer to home and due to some changes at our own church.

So we decide on a location as I'm watching on line the new "Pastor" is walking and preaching from an ipad is this what it's come to in 2011?

Come on fellow HEFFAs lend a hand before I realize I'm about to drink the kool-aid!

Sam it takes real strength to share something so personal. In truth you really don't know how many people you are touching and helping with ever word you have shared.

Your title is "I got nothing" ... I don't know it sounds more like you got everything.

Pulling the plug at any age is the hardest discussion any family will ever have to make, but it happens everyday. It's funny how suddenly the President is responsible for every life or death choice made.

Was the focus to be that there was coverage for the babies, widows and the under employed or did we just forget about them?

I remember going to see her and Rick James for the first time when I was about 17. I drove, me and bestie 2 hot girls chillin'.

Had a blast the concert was off the hook. Coming home was part of like a 12 car pile up on hte free way. Ended that of course back in those days we didn't wear seat  bealts so I hit my head on the windshield and had a concussion.

That is so cool. What an experience. Keep us posted through out.

I thank God for your wife's safety and nothing accounts for the ignorance of some. That's why I tried to show the difference between the cops and the store. Cops because of nothing but what they saw the store stupidity that cost them greatly.

The running joke in our family recently is I voted for Amelia Earhardt at the last vote when I went to the poll, AFTER another person looked at my ballot and I had George Washington for President. I leaned over to my hubby to ask what did his ballot look like of course the person came up to me and asked if everything was ok. I said should I vote for Washington for President she replied if you want to. I frowned tried another How about Lincoln? because they are both on my ballot she said OK. No NO~ because I definetly going for Amelia for transportation...

So after much debate she realized OMG there something wrong with her ballot. I have wondered how the person before voted but it taught my daughter a valuable lesson about reading everything. Ijust thought they had a problem it had nothing to do with me and race.

I have been ...let me say I am not a wow is me lawd he doesn't like me cause I'm Black kinda person. I have lived in Ca most of life now a few years in Tx  and few in Mexico (the Country). I don't think I every experinced racial mistreatment the entire time I was south of the border. In Texas it's more in your face but not that often. But good ol' Ca there is always something. I was stopped by the same cop rapidly until I complained to a judge. Now Mike you could say maybe it was just him, but you know better. I had tags on my car expired by 1 day I was pulled over from the front so he didn't about my registration but he what kind of car I was driving and the color of my skin. When was rhe last time you were stopped from front of your car? ANYBODY?

I love to shop I can remember being out once with my mom. I had a significant total however the other sales person didn't put 2+2 to realize we all look alike and made rude comment about her ability to afford the store needless to say, I let them ring up every item, I started counted out the money got to less hundred dollar bill and said you know what you can keep this s&*t because if mom shouldn't be here my money shouldn't either.

I've already embarassed myself tonight with my analogies at a school board meeting. Just a little food for thought
