Black Panther / Re: Black Panther and Daredevil needs to teamup again!!!!!

Especially now that there's a new Black Panther.  Shuri and Matt Murdock would be an interesting team....

Just as long as Matt doesn't add Shuri to his long list of conquests..lol.

Black Panther / Black Panther and Daredevil needs to teamup again!!!!!
« on: November 10, 2009, 05:44:29 am »
I remember back in the day Daredevil and Black Panther use to have mad adventures together. Nowadays it's like they don't know each other. T'Challa and Matt Murdoch are good friends and yet they haven't appeared in an adventure together in years. While I understand T'Challa is working on his vengence plot and Daredevil is busy with the Hand, I would still like to see these two have an adventure for old times sake.

I liked the magic sapping slugs. Interesting kryptonite! I'm still wondering if we'll see Doctor Voodoo perform any of Strange's trademark spells like the Crimson Bands of Cytorrak and The Winds of Watoomb.

That would mean he would be a Strange knock off right? If he had those abilities and moves why have him as Sorcerer Supreme?
I think he should have his own spells, powers, and signature moves.

No. Doctor Voodoo has the Book of Vishanti and the spells I mentioned aren't exclusively casted by Doctor Strange. There were other sorcerers that invoked those spells as well. I just haven't seen them casted in awhile it would be good if they were at some point, either by Doctor Voodoo or some other sorcerer in this series.

I wonder if it's precognition. That would be a good asset to have in battle.

It seemed like it was just the popular acts of Def Jam. No Slick Rick? What's up with that?

I'm thinking that the Desturi must be The Children of Killmonger. I would like to see Hatut Zeraze again and XCon.

I forgot all about that. Thanks Vic!

I read the Killmonger arc in the last volume and the character that caught my interest is the eyepatch ape. I liked how he was the one that was responsible for supplying Killmonger with the Tech. For a minute I thought the Skrulls were supplying Killmonger with the Tech in an effort to takeover Wakanda.

Anyhow, is there a chance we'll see the eyepatch ape again? I wonder if he's this Broker I been hearing about?

At any rate, I want to see the eyepatch ape again!

He should just do the time and get it over with. If he was that concerned with survival, he would've thought long and hard about what raping a 13 year old would get him.

BET Life / Re: American Gangster on The Biography Channel

You can now watch American Gangster on centric. (formerly known as BET J)

I'm still waiting for new episodes, but that doesn't seem likely at this point. I wonder what network has the option of producing new episodes of the series?

Let's try this one more time before Bluezulu comes in here on full referee mode!

You do not have both!

PERIOD!

Priorities were shifted towards American Gangster and not on the Black Panther show.

Maybe years from now when we look back on all this we will understand the serving two masters part.

I seriously needed to stalk the halls at BET in full Darth Vader gear and found new ways to motivate you.

When we meet for the possibility of this black comic book convention in Los Angeles we have to stress the importance of black super heroes first over this "Anchor" we cling to that is sinking our black super hero movement.

All the time spent on research, interviews and filming for American Gangster should be sent over to Black Panther before Disney/Marvel pulls the plug when ISH does not get done.

How many times has Black Panther been set back over the years?

Here's what I'm saying in a nutshell. There's room for both representations onscreen. I'm saying the American Gangster series can co-exist side by side with a black superhero show. It's not that complicated. It can happen.

Black Panther / Re: Black Panther # 9 POWER, PART 3 Preview/Review
« on: October 10, 2009, 10:33:55 am »
I'm sorry but I don't like the idea of him turning into a were-cat. Old portrayals of Africans depicted as animalistic, savages would bother me. I don't mind him gaining new powers but they can keep him human, please.

I never really viewed T'Challa turning into a were-cat as a reinforcement of an old stereotype about savages and animalism.

I do remember a story back in eighties where The Panther God possessed a normal person and had him transform into some were-cat.

To each his own.

I hope some of these upgrades include T'Challa acting/moving more like a cat.

With Spider-Man, people expect him to move like a spider. And since T'Challa is a cat, he should move like one, so that people are constantly reminded that he is a panther.

It's too bad that Batman is known for that "quietly appearing and disappearing" thing when someone is talking to him, and then when they turn around he is gone...or when they turn around he is suddenly there.

Those tactics are perfect for T'Challa, the cat, the panther.

Feline flexibility
Feline balance
Feline speed
Feline pouncing
Feline stalking/hunting
Feline senses (extraordinary hearing, taste, sense of smell, sense of touch).
Feline reflexes
Feline agility...far superior to Spider-Man's (cat agility vs. spider "agility")
Feline aura/mystique (women are drawn to his animal magnetism, BUT he ONLY has eyes for Storm, his Queen).

Everything a cat/panther can do, T'Challa can do (on a more impressive level).

It would be cool if he had the power to turn into some were-cat like his MC2 counterpart the Coal Tiger.  I like to see him have control or summon Panthers. I heard that cats also have a psychic sense. How about nine lives like a cat?

Hudlin TV / Re: ENTOURAGE
« on: October 10, 2009, 02:19:12 am »
I disagree. Season 6 is  good because it's about the characters growing up and learning that they can have fulfilling lives that don't necessary revolve around Vince. By the same token I can seen that eventually Vince is going to learn to live without his Entourage completely depending on him to take care of them. Also...I love Matt Damon. This dude needs to win an emmy for best guest actor for his performance on the Season Finale

I got the gist of this season was growing up and everyone finding their own way, but it seems in the midst of all this, Vince got lost in the shuffle. To each his own but I just wasn't feeling this season.
