1964 - 2012

Y'know...  I didn't even know who Ms. Yvette Wilson was until I viewed that clip from "Friday" and I remember at the time, seeing the movie the first weekend it was out in Southern California. When her character pulled off the wig while talking to Smokey (Chris Tucker), people in the audience had bust out laughing! It kinda disappointed me that Smokey turned her down because of her size, and  I remember thinking,

"That must've been some strong ass endo Smokey was toking to drop her 'cause she was a cutie!" :-*

I didn't know she was the same woman from the TV show, "Moesha" but it doesn't matter, she left a lasting (and pleasant) impression on me on "Friday" that I'll remember forever.

Thanks for the memories, Ms. Wilson.

I am really saddened to hear this. My condolonces go out to her loved ones.

I know these people cherish their privacy but prayer does work and I wish they would let us know about their challenges.

Three, actually: Merlin Santana was on the show, too, and he died back in 2002. His character was Ohagi.

She performed at the Comedy Act in ATL a few times back-in-the-day.
So beautiful.
So young.

Love and light, Yvette!
