There was a good ten years that I thought that Sly Stone had died in the 70's.

How I came to this conclusion I do not remember.

Shoot, I didn't even KNOW the brother had released any albums after "Heard Ya Missed Me..." and I was only dimly aware of "High on You".

Imagine my surprise when I found out he was in fact, NOT dead.

So I'm going to bow outta this one as I am literally too ignorant to have an opinion on this subject.

(Probably others too, come to think of it...)

I've got a confession too:
I usedta think Bootsy and Sly were the same person.
Sighhh......

Now, what will be the inaugural theme at Mount Funkmore?

I personally called for ONE NATION UNDER A GROOVE but rumor has it Reggie and Curtis are pushing for I WANT TO TAKE YOU HIGHER.
ONE NATION is the anthem. The inaugural theme is between LUNCHMEATOPHOBIA and STAND.

They're both on Mt. Funkmore though.

Maaan, somebody needs to draw THAT.

:) ..who all would be on it?  james brown, hendrix, bootsy, sly stone, george clinton?

A rough sketch of Mount Funkmore would probably look something like this:

Although, James Brown was a bit difficult to fit in-between Bootsy's hat! :)

Less than 24 hours after I utter the phrase Mt. Funkmore, there it is. Only on the HEF!

Thanks but we're not quite there yet. :-\

There are a variety of ways to make this Mount Funkmore idea a little more 'tangible'...

One way would be, now that we have a rough visual idea of what Mt. Funkmore could look like, is to create a 3-D model of it so that it can look like what it's supposed to be...  a sculpture.

Since it is based from Mount Rushmore, which is a sculpture, we need a smaller scaled sculptured model of Mount Funkmore. Perhaps out of clay or if we wanted to use cleaner, less messier tools...   a 3-D application.
Either working from photo references of the sculpture

--- or ---

Going directly to the source... Pennington County, South Dakota so that we can get up 'close & personal' with it.
