Well. I'm happy. I don't see what there is to fuss about. In two issues he addressed a lot of problems. I would wait and see first. Because at some point it becomes unreasonable and Marvel will go tone deaf on future issues and problems that really, really merit criticism. I mean, a lot of stuff I have asked for and bugged them about is going down. Hickman blew my mind with FANTASTIC FOUR #608.
These issues remind me of his PAX ROMANA. This is why I brought up Dune...God-Kings; they are a part of his wheel house. I said Dune, Leto II, I had no idea he would do this. Shuri is preserved, and given a place in the MU as Queen of Wakanda. This will give her something important. T'challa becomes more, the King of Kings, The Panther Gods chosen son, a Demi-God...when Shuri dies, T'challa will still be; immortal, ruling the Kings of Wakanda. He's still King!
How long will it last, if it's popular, it will. Hickman has 63 something issues plotted for AVENGERS. It starts at #1! Brevoort and Marvel support this action. His new powers are being treated as a big reveal! This is his reconfiguration, that Joe Q said several characters will get in one form or another.
Anyone complaining about the mystical parts might need to re-read their books. It's been that way from the start, FANTASTIC FOUR #52-53...

And in AvX #7 they continued with Black Panther and Wakanda being a fusion of Magic and Science.

"[...]The Black Panther Prowls the boundary between Super-science and Magic"
What happens in the future is unknown, but from my view point and my personal arguments and lobbing are being addressed. Being "Queen" or King of Wakanda doesn't really add anything when he is now beyond a simple monarch. Bast said as much...play boy king or take his destiny.
The result is a T'challa that may be able to finally fight Doom, Thor, Namor, Black Bolt, or Sultan Magus with out a plot device! All of his peers I just mention are team busting, power houses. They all have advanced technology on par or near Wakandas...for example Black Bolt and the Kree, besides the inhumans science. Sultan Magus has alien technology. Atlantis has ancient magic, gods, highly advanced technology, Then there is Doom...Wakanda now has possible powerhouse in T'challa, along with their advanced technology, magic and Warrior Queen. In close combat, he will possibly be the best.
This should be all good, and this removes the whole Storm and Panther team-up issue/excuse...that is if they don't divorce or something. But now T'challa is the Weapon. He's still a scientific-technological genius--but with the strength, experience and knowledge of ever Black Panther ever. Skill-wise he's should be on another level now. Hickman seems to love hyper-capable heroes.
All in two freaking issues! Two issues. I say allow them to continue, before bashing them. T'challa has been written well in this event and I really didn't think it possible.
"Hopefully everything we're planning for this year can result in us achieving that.”
Anyway, the Black Panther story in the main "Fantastic Four" book will be a two-parter setting up big end-of-year plans, and there will also be a single issue of the Future Foundation book, 'Safari.'
Yeah, the Panther is a great character and I am going to do a bit more with him. He’s a secret city, science king, so — kind of right in my wheel house.
I have seen people mention the Phantom ( just no) or Buffy (double no) but Dune is one of Hickman's favorite series. Leto II the God Empower has access to every ancestor! T'challa has this now. Leto II accepts the God Head for the Salvation of his people (the Freemen)...T'challa does the same' basically the same. Spice Malenage is Heart Shape Herb/Soul Shape Herb, both will kill a normal person. Dora's and Fish-speakers...all with a twist. I just expect T'challa to be similarly fast and strong like Leto II.
Also he could struggle with losing humanity, a battle that would be a nice touch and Storm could play into that.
