I think it pretty much goes without saying that T'challa would be an Alpha Man  ;D

"The catalyst is an event in Wakanda with Black Panther, the only man who told the original Illuminati it was a mistake. Something occurs so earth-shattering he sees no other course of action than to call on them." - Jonathan Hickman

Finally, Black Panther gets Mega plot focus...

"Avengers is the day book and New Avengers is night. Avengers is how we want the world to be, New Avengers is how it is. One book is about life, one is about death. The logos reflect all this." - Jonathan Hickman

"Do Black Panther and Namor get along? No. Do Namor and Beast get along? No. Do Iron Man and various characters have problems as things get revealed? Absolutely." - Jonathan Hickman

"I don't think people will be surprised to learn that even as these guys go about their job, some will grow to hate one another. This is not a cheery happy story. This is the 'Death Avengers.'" - Jonathan Hickman

T'challa is King of the dead!

Jonathan says he has been dropping New Avengers hints in Fantastic Four and FF with Black Panther, Black Bolt and Reed Richards stuff.

This sound pretty epic.

"Black Panther is the lynchpin character of New Avengers. The central character. He's very important to the Avengers franchise as a whole." - Tom Brevoort

"Black Panther is certainly the moral center of New Avengers." - Jonathan Hickman

Beast is on the team...I still hope that Storm gets a chance.

The conversation shifted to the mysterious "New Avengers" team, which Jonathan revealed consists of the Illuminati, which was introduced in Brian Bendis' "New Avengers."

"It's about the guys that very quietly and secretly run the world," he said. "It's thematically much different than what's going on in 'Avengers.' The plan that I've worked up is that the Avengers are the utopian Avengers. They're the ideal Avengers, whereas the New Avengers are real-world. They live in the world as it is, which is dark and apocalyptic. It's very old-school. We're pretty excited about it. The books will work together, in tandem. You don't have to read both of them, but if you do, there will be things that echo across the books."

The roster is Captain America, Iron Man, Doctor Strange, Black Bolt -- Namor is involved in the book because "What causes the guys to come back together is such a momentous thing that they have to put aside all differences." The way they get back together has to do with Black Panther and an event that occurs in Wakanda. "Even though they don't like each other and don't get along, they have to save each other from stuff they know is threatening".

Beast and Mr. Fantastic is also on the roster. I'm going to ask about female members of NEW. There should be a few...

It's 2.99 too! I think this right here is pretty big for T'challa, he's moving in the right direction...the same can't be said of some other characters unfortunately.
