Purim Story in "Rapping" (?) Song - Purim Poetry Slam
« on: February 20, 2013, 07:17:03 am »
The Holiday of Purim is this Sunday!  Don't know what Purim is or need more info?  Listen to this "soulful" rendition of the story, updated to encompass current events:

Purim Poetry Slam

... or ... maybe you would prefer to just read the Book of Esther.  Hahaha.  ;)
The spirit of emptiness is immortal.
It is called the Great Mother
because it gives birth to Heaven and Earth.
It is like a vapor,
barely seen but always present.
Use it effortlessly.

Hahaha.  ;D
I get a kick out of his style. My 19 year-old son is very much into this. Me, I'm of the old old old 1960s and '70s rock generation.  ;)
The performer does capture the spirit of what Purim all about.
The spirit of emptiness is immortal.
It is called the Great Mother
because it gives birth to Heaven and Earth.
It is like a vapor,
barely seen but always present.
Use it effortlessly.

I knew I was forgetting something. Great video, I meant to comment on it earlier- well, itís still March & itís still Womenís History- Month.

Soulful indeed, Heís got a cool cadence.

Personally, Iíd like to hear more messages like this from the youth- you know, with their own generational vibe, style or swag.

one of my favs...
