DAVE EVANS ON CONTRADICTIONS IN CHRISTIANITY
« on: May 02, 2013, 10:47:54 pm »
Reggie,

To those Christians who are tightly-wound and ready to project the criminal allegations against two radical Muslims upon an entire religion, I share the following scripture:

My Christian brethren, hear the word of Matthew in Chapter 7, Verse 5:

"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?”

For more than a century the largest and most murderously violent hate group in the United States, the Ku Klux Klan, professed to be a Christian organization.  In fact, its symbol is the Cross and it displays a drop of blood in its symbol—supposedly emblematic of that shed by Jesus (see link below).

With more than 6,000,000 members in the 1920s, some have said that the KKK is more than a “plank” in our historic eye.  It is more like a California Redwood log!

Best regards,

Dave
