GAMING CONSOLES
« on: November 28, 2013, 12:43:44 pm »
My young kids have played on Wii, but never had one.

If I were to buy one, is that it?  Or something else?

That's certainly it, sir...    Wii by Nintendo.

In comparison, Adam Sessler  gives a brief review of  " ...something else"  on YouTube of the XBOX ONE and how it functions, which I would not recommend for your kids unless you want to give them this kind of accessibility (and power) to your home entertainment system.

I agree with Battle' the XboxOne isn't meant for kids despite what the kids "want". Most kids shouldn't imo have the massive flat screens as it is. Nor have that much distraction of technology in their possession.

With these choices, I felt that the American black man only needed to choose which one to get eaten by; the liberal fox or the conservative wolf because both of them will eat him.

Thanks a lot, BmoreAkuma, I really appreciate that comment.   :)

Another issue parents should be concerned about is allowing extremely limited access to online gamers because not all gamers are nice people.
Places like battle.net  definitely keep your kids away from unless you want your kids to end up like those other kids (and teachers) killed in Newtown, CT or like those 60 people massacred by that nutjob in Norway who played, and interacted with them through world of warcraft.

Exactly I came from a household that we werent allowed to play the sega genesis unless we asked. I didnt get my own console until I went to college.

At least you were able to get money for yours...  :)

Mine got tossed moving from one apartment to another.

By the way, I can tell that your Intellivision was the later model called System |||.  Although, there was a even smaller version than that one in 1983.

As I've mentioned before, battle.net is an extremely dangerous online gaming site.  Here's a little example of the kinds of gamers you'd find at battle.net playing the gawd-awful Diablo |||, an online only Windows game, when the servers hit lag spikes...   or worse, go offline.
