As for Storm not having any black friends...in fairness, there aren't a lot of black people in the X-Fandom. She's been seen with a number of them a number of times - or at least as many times as you'd expect in a comic where virtually none of them are actually in the book. I also agree that Storm's blackness is a bit of a joke, but Storm more than likely sees herself as a mutant first, a black woman second/third. We know how much she loves Kenya - remember those HIDEOUS African get-ups she used to be drawn in? It's like...Storm is what white people think elegant black people should be.
