On a side note Infinity War is the most watched trailer within 24 hours of all time.

Also note Black panther is the 13th most watched within 24 hours of all time, beaten only by movie's with sequels or are reboots to classic movies

the last trailer for BP got screwed by youtube actually

someone "forgot" to put it on the trending thing. So massive amounts of people didn't see it.

"forgot"

so someone didn't get paid or we can think of more sinister motivations

There's A Very Good Reason To Believe Black Panther Will Reveal Infinity War's Soul Stone
Charles Pulliam-Moore
Dec 1, 2017,

The location of the Soul Stone, the last of the Infinity Stones, remains one of the last big mysteries of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As jam-packed with new information as the Avengers: Infinity War trailer is, it doesn't shed any light on the Stone's whereabouts - but a key shot in the most recent Black Panther trailer might.

At some point during Infinity War, Black Panther and some of the Avengers will lead an army of Wakandan warriors into battle with what appears to be a horde of Thanos' Outriders, but what's unclear is where the battle will take place and why. Given the number of Wakandans in what we see of the fight in the trailer, it stands to reason that it's set somewhere in or near Wakanda itself, but then the question becomes: Why? As nice a place as Wakanda must be, the most likely reason Thanos and his minions would descend on the country would be to secure the Soul Stone, which hasn't actually been seen in the MCU yet.

That logic holds together solidly enough on its own, but there may be a hint within the Black Panther trailer alluding to T'Challa having much more intimate knowledge about the Stone than we assume. Toward the middle of the trailer, we briefly see T'Challa dressed in white, walking across an ethereal savanna bathed in the light of a purple and blue aurora borealis.

As he walks, he comes upon an actual black panther sitting in a tree, and many suspect that the scene is of T'Challa communicating with Bast, the panther god Wakandans worship. There hasn't been much speculation as to how T'Challa might encounter Bast, other than the Heart Shaped Herb ritual that imbues him with the powers of the Black Panther, but it would make an awful lot of sense if their encounter involved the Soul Stone.

In Marvel's comics, the Soul Stone (or Gem, if you prefer) possesses a wide range of cosmic abilities relating to life, death and the afterlife. In addition to being able to bring people back from the dead, the Soul Stone is also uniquely able to manipulate souls and is sometimes depicted as being a sentient object that actively craves to consume the souls of living things.

Ta-Nehisi Coates' current run on Black Panther has spent an ample amount of time exploring Wakandan spirituality and T'Challa's connection to the Necropolis, a city beneath Wakanda where all of the previous Black Panthers are laid to rest.
Despite its ominous name, the Necropolis isn't so much an underworld as much as it is a repository of knowledge and wisdom, united by the fact that it only exists within the minds of Wakanda's dead leaders. It's a powerful asset to the current Panther and one that, in a way, regards death not as an inherently negative thing, but rather a natural part of life, very similar to the Soul Gem.

At this point, we're running out of time for the last Infinity Stone to pop up within the MCU - and while Thanos could just have it in his pocket or something, it'd be much more interesting to see him fight an entire country of technologically-advanced war people to get it. Also, who doesn't want to see the ghosts of Panthers past line up to tell T'Challa that his time has come?

Black Panther his theatres 15 February 2018; Avengers: Infinity War drops four months later on April 25.

Question to the HEF community. Will anticipation for Avengers Infinity help or hinder the Black Panther film? What do you think?

100% help.

Part of the MCU experience is the continued narrative from film to film.

This is the last movie before IW... its gonna help, espeically with tchalla being front and center in the trailer (and all the delicious memes since)

regarding the soul stone...

So wakanda gets a magical, universe changing magic glowing rock

and wakanda gets a magical meteor with a magical metal

along with a magical plant which turns you into a super hero lol

and we are supposed to, as an audience, believe that Wakandan were special BEFORE this (as coogler said)...

no (white) audience is going to believe that sh*t lol. they got two universe changing magical rocks... they are going to see it as "the only way any africans can be special is with magical universe rocks"

I don't like it. '

keep the soul stone out of Wakanda!

unless it causes more ticket sales and gives BP more feats... then turn around and advertise the last stone is there so the movie audience knows this movie is 100% important to IW.

i'll sacrifice the Wakanda narrative for ticket sales just as quickly as id sacrifice wakandan redshirts for BP feats lol

It will help. As MoS said with him being front and center in the trailer plus showing this massive army running into battle against Thanos forces
.. you better believe people are going to catch the BP movie even if its to see if "Wakanda has a chance or are they going to get stomped" but given the movie hype, in think that it will be a huge success regardless. Again the teaser was the 3rd nost watched (4th now) trailer within 24 hours of marvel movies.. only bested by rag and CW and now infinity... That's impressive

Coates should NOT get credit for introducing a spiritual realm to the Panther mythos.

Unless I'm mistaken, that was Priest's contribution:

I live in a predominately white state... So no im not worried about that lol. But i do generally find loud mouthed people commenting during the movie to be obnoxious so there will be that to deal with...

Yeah Priest showed it first, Hudlin showed it when Bp and Storm got married and when Shuri was going before bast.. But i think what will happen will be people will Claim "Coates has fleshed it out more then any other writer ever!!!" or some garbage like that

.

Its a zero sum game with (white) audiences. Even without it they'd chalk Wakanda up to "well its fictional". So the folks who would dismiss Wakanda out of hand anyway no matter what (magical "rocks" or not) can kick rocks barefoot, this movie isn't for them.

Yup.  It's why I say this:

I ain't worried bout these white folks.  They gon do what they gon do

Except for Beware the Geek.  He cool

To paraphrase a fictional white girl from Hickman's run: "you can't win, so it's best you find a way to not lose" - Valeria Richards.

And as long as we ignore them white folks (or e-smack them up when approrpiate) and show up in droves for this BP movie, we can't lose

The next CBR article that goes up talking out they ass crediting spiritual movie Wakanda to Coates, I'm gon be all up in that comments section like

They did that a month or so ago when the official trailer came out and now that above article reads like the same gibberish.

I've had enough.

Oh btw...

guess who just got added to Marvel Future Fight?  Blue Marvel.

Guess what they call the 3 person lineup of Blue Marvel, Carol Danvers and Black Panther?

Captain Marvel's Ultimates
   ::)

4sake, they trolling us.

Oh and they included America Chavez... but no Spectrum.

They had their Thor Ragnorak 3 character pack last month.

So we're probably 2 months (end of January) from getting our Black Panther movie pack and storyline.  Undoubtedly with an upgraded BP, added costume, + Okoye, Nakia, Shuri, Erik and Klaw.
