This looks a hot mess. As a collector of all things Black Panther I won't be buying this. It is almost ironic (save for the fact it boarders so closely on exploitative) that Hasbro has released the Black Panther Legacy series to coincide withe the Black Panther Wakanda Forever toy line. While most of the Legacy line are reissues (some with new paint jobs) it takes me back to a time mere years ago when it was a pleasure to find all that Black Panther merch.



There is also Hasbro's Legend series that matches up a Black Panther toy line with Black Panther Wakanda Forever series.

In the comics, the original Red Hulk was Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, the same character played by William Hurt in the MCU. He gains the awesome power through a dark pact with the villain group The Intelligencia; including bad guys like The Leader, M.O.D.O.K., and the Mad Thinker. He begins his time in the comics as a villain–and honestly never strays too far from his darker urges–but for a time has a more anti-hero status including leading his own version of the Thunderbolts. Sadly, William Hurt passed away in March, leading to the question of exactly what Red Hulk will appear in Captain America 4.

The most obvious answer is that it will be the Thaddeus Ross version of the Red Hulk we’ll meet in the next Captain America movie, but played by a different actor. While Marvel decided to not recast Chadwick Boseman’s T’Challa, that performance carries a cultural weight that arguably has yet to be felt by any other actor/character pairing in the MCU. Marvel hasn’t shied away from recasting characters before–even leads–and the original Hulk is a perfect example. Not to mention the recasting of James Rhodes and the Red Skull.

Ya miss me with that. Chad isn't the only one who has done that, And frankly that excuse is insulting on many levels to both actors

This has none of the appeal of the first film's promos and would work better as a comic book cover. Shuri, who is front and center, is the primary distraction reducing the impact of the other three. She looks impotent and unceremonious. Shuri's look does nothing to inspire the Afrakan futurism Black Panther is known for and this I believe is very telling. Okoye and M'Baku work but something is off with Nakia.

She's basically doing the same pose as Shuri. Shuri looks completely out of place. The other 3 appear more stemmed in African aesthetics and Shuri? She looks American. COMPLETELY tonally different from the first movie and doesn't work with this cover at all.

Plus she doesn't look the part of a warrior (because she isn't) so it also makes this cover look unconvincing. They need to play on characters strengths and this AIN'T it

You got that right with regards to Nakia Ezyo. Shuri's lacking the Afrakan aesthetics does not bode well for Wakanda. I can't take her seriously. Speaking of not taking it serious...

For a film that boast the title Wakanda Forever they seem to be going out of their way to promote all things not Wakanda. This movie has stealth Sub Mariner origin movie, introducing Iron Heart with guest appearance by Wakandan natives written all over it.

Well that’s what happens when you write the main character out of his own movie. But I guess it’s par the course for Black Panther to be used as a stepping stone to promote characters from other franchises.

Notice in the trailer when Queen Ramonda comes to the UN, the men with her mouths are covered and they push their microphones down, a symbolic silencing of the male presence.
