Jamaica or Hawaii?

Which place to play?  Which play to live?  Which culture?

I've never been that interested in Hawaii, therefore have never been.
Jamaica is cool for the rasta/reggae culture.  It's a gorgeous island with Black people running it.
May be corrupt. 
Feels a bit homey in that way. 
Comfortable.
Inexpensive.

Never been to either. One of my college roommates was from Jamaica and was CRAZY... though a fun somewhat dangerous type of crazy. I'm guessing I'd have more fun in Jamaica. I don't know!

I need to go to both as bucket list items. Fat chance in my current circumstances.

I still remember that wall poster of a woman in a wet T-shirt at a barber shop, as a kid.. heh.. (did the shirt itself say 'Jamaica', or... never mind..)

I have a passport, so I guess I'm good to go as far as Jamaica.  Except, you know, the money thing.

Screwy thing is, I'd be tempted to just try and stay, if I went either place.  I suppose I'd have a vaguely easier time trying to find work in Hawaii as a citizen rather than Jamaica..

If I had to pick one to go to first? I'd pick Hawaii, if only because I won't have to figure out any currency exchange issues..
