Why oh WHY do we continue to waste space writing about anything that...as Aunt Esther would say..."fish eyed foo" TNC writes about BP? He sucks. Always will. End of.

When it comes to this fool? Just stop writing about him. You, Ture, Narcisse, me, and the OG's here on HEF have written a thousand times better iterations of the BP than this fool is writing. We should ignore this fool and put out actually quality work and concentrate on good stuff that other Afrikan writers have.

John Ridley's The American Way and The Authority are much better suited for the tastes and minds on HEF.

Let's not get it twisted... The television actress who played Aunt Ester, much like legendary performers such as Moms Mabley or Della Reese, were hotties back-in-th'-day.   See?

OmLAWD, I remember that my father told me that LaWanda Page was fine as wine back in the day, but daaang. So in that vein? Here's a young Redd Foxx aka Fred Sanford and young Lawanda Page aka Aunt Esther posing for a pic back in the day.

In fairness, Coates maybe aware of the criticisms lobbed at him and is making an earnest effort at addressing some of these concerns. We are asked to "hang tight" for answers as this journey unfolds but the flaw none the less remains in Coates exposition of the Black Panther and Wakanda. Coates possess the ability to write a culturally engaging narrative, he has the intellectual acumen to detail and enrich said narrative but what he lacks is the all essential rectitude to properly execute such.

Thus far his imagination is not in the musings of Afro Futurism, despite his delivering a perfunctory lesson in Afrakan history by affectatiously name dropping Mackandal, Goree and Maroon in a science fiction setting. Instead Coates is deeply entrenched in the oppression and victimization of so caller Black people and the all too important mandate of misplaced inclusion and forced diversity. Marvel comics were already diverse and the Black Panther represented a unique area of said diversity.

I will continue to read this story to see how it evolves and concludes. As previously evidenced in his series, Coates refuses to ground both T'Challa and Wakanda in anything intuitively found in the continuity of the world of the Black Panther that is positive and empowering of the man and his nation.

This "season" of the Black Panther could have easily been the telling of how T'Challa infiltrates a new galactic consortium bent on weaponizing a newly discovered star system with planetoids made of vibranium. He is discovered and uses his genius intellect, stealth abilities, hyper senses, martial art skills and advanced Wakandan personal technology of his own design, as well as his changing environment to escape. With his pursuers hot on his trail, T'Challa leads them straight to the Wakandan Deep Space Armada. So begins the Wakandan galactic war and the birth of the Wakandan Galatic Empire.

In the mean time enjoy these little BPQs (Black Panther Quips).

"Knowing I would be one of those killed by Thanos, I arranged to be transported to the Ancestral Plane."

(Unused Avengers Infinity War end credit scene)

"Shurrri."  "Sorry mother."

Not a fan of "sexy" Shuri... yet.

"Ant Man and who?"

T'Challa's reply to Marvel's latest super hero film.

"Bet Shuri doesn't know about this."

Prototype Panther Battle Droid designed to save Wakandan lives on and from the battlefield.

"I am going on a date with an Kenyan heiress...Panther style. Which one?"

BLACK PANTHER #3 Pushed Back 4 Weeks
By Chris Arrant, Editor

Black Panther #3 will be released four weeks later than originally planned, according to Marvel.

The publisher has informed retailers that Ta-Nehisi Coates and Daniel Acuna's third Black Panther issue is no longer scheduled for July 25, but is now expected to be released August 22. No reason was given for the delay.

This new Black Panther volume debuted May 23, with the #2 on-schedule for a June 27 release.

CvilleWakandan , I see you are holding down the fort. I've gotten several of the children books and I must say I was impressed with some of the art.

Is the one you are referring yo among these?
