Fly or be super strong?

Which power would you rather have?  As you may have guessed, another question from my son.

Imagine how much money you could save if you could fly at a decent speed!

Flying seems like so much more fun. Being strong is great for combat, actual or symbolic, but beyond that, I don't see what else I'd do with it.

depends on what kind of flying you're talking about.
There's "true flight" (e.g., Superman)
"winged flight" (e.g.,  Hawkman)
"rocket flight" (e.g., Iron Man)
"levitation flight" (e.g., Jean Grey)
"wind power flight" (e.g., Storm)

With all the deconstruction that's gone on in recent decades, I guess it's assumed that you'd have to have a co-power that allows you to breathe at high speeds and altitudes..

And if you're going to travel, then I guess it's good to have a cell phone with GPS for navigation.

What level of super-strength?  Hmm.  Assuming you don't have super-durability and/or self-healing to go along with it, you'd definitely have to be careful on what all you're trying to lift or break apart.  I'd need at least two-ton level strength for it to be worth it for me.  For every day life, you can lift and move furniture and other heavy equipment, and with effort shift some cars around if need be.

Now that we're poised for TrumpMerica, I'm tempted to choose flight so that I can get far away.  But I think I'll choose super-strength so that I can kick some....

Hmm, another potential downside to flying is getting shot. That occurred several times in Wild Seed as I recall.

Gotta go with super strength. That's assuming I'm bullet proof like most characters who are strong.

Another question is at what level?  Spider-Man super-strength is probably a lot more practical than Hulk strength, where you would feel like you live in a world made of glass.
