Had to look up Freeform Cable.  It's owned by Disney-ABC.  Doesn't look like anything on Netflix but who knows.  Will definitely check it out.

“Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger” is the story of Tandy Bowen (Olivia Holt) and Tyrone Johnson (Aubrey Joseph) – two teenagers from very different backgrounds, who find themselves burdened and awakened to newly acquired superpowers which are mysteriously linked to one another. Tandy can emit light daggers and Tyrone has the ability to engulf others in darkness. They quickly learn they are better together than apart, but their feelings for each other make their already complicated world even more challenging. The 10 episode series will premiere early 2018.

Awesome, I wish this show was produced 25 years ago.

I see that this is based (and filmed in) the New Orleans area, instead of NYC.  Intriguing.

I wonder if the show will have the strong anti-dope leanings that the original storylines delved into.

There should be lots of exploration of multicultural teen culture in the communities that Tyrone and Tandy live in.

Also interesting that the show openly acknowledges the romance aspect of the main characters.  The original comics focused on an unrequited crush aspect (on Cloak's part) for many years, which, in some respect, conceptually hobbled him.

Tyrone should get as many storylines as Tandy, for sure.  Delve into his family background and experiences as a black male with newly discovered meta powers.

I suspect that this will not be an action-heavy show, so there's no excuse for there not to be lots of character dialogue.  I wish that I could get a chance to write for this.

An actor friend of mine, Miles, is playing the father in this show.
Miles is a good dude and great actor.
In the past, we were usually up for the same roles.
Proud of that dude! Hope this show is a hit!

Right on to the real and death to the fakers!  Peace out!

Checked out the first 2. Actually ok. At least they haven't gone all CW on us yet.

Saw the first two episodes, as well...

Smiled at the scene where soon-to-be Dagger dumps her long-time white boyfriend, "There is no we..."
opening up a slot for soon-to-be Cloak.

I liked the first two episodes.

Ahh-h-h...

We finally see Dagger demanding retribution for her disgraced father and Cloak wants retribution for his brother's killer...  and we get to see their abilities more fine tuned especially Cloak; one scene in this episode reminds me of that classic Special Ed song, 'Think About It"

"Think about that or think about this
If I try to hit you, do you think that I would miss?
Well I'm fast, I only hit the center mass & head
I'm Special Ed, funkadelic relic of the ages
If you like this, I've got pages & pages!"
