He tried once and only got temporary comic book peak human powers through alchemy/magic

Of course he can build an IM like armor but yuck

(Fun topic tho ie... has any hero given them powers on purpose rather than a science/exploration accident?)

Sasquatch sortof.  I know there have been others (especially villains.)

But just because once he did it and it was temporary, doesn't mean he couldn't make it permanent.  Otherwise, he and Wakanda is incapable of doing what others have done.

I dont mind how T'Challa has his power, And i don't mind most of Wakanda not really having powers as they are the most badass nation on earth and can repel threats without the need of legions of Superheroes, But at the same time i wouldn't be opposed to T'Challa enhancign himself somehow, as long as it was Done right.

Since the kotd sh*t, i thought two things

1. Force ghost army in wakanda only

2. His strength and abilities increase the closer he gets to necropolis

That would be cool, Necropilis has its own Defense system in a way while The Golden City could bring back the Dooms Day Panthers again

This seems to be the right place.

A poorly corrected image of the designs of the Orishas, from yesterday's "Next Big Thing" panel at C2E2:

I still think Everytime they appear on panel they should be in black and white, it adds a level of uniqueness to it

Still think it flies in the face of everything else we have seen about the PG.

I also find it a little disingenuous that Stelfreeze is talking about wanting to show gods from "all over Africa" when those designs are practically dripping with Egyptian iconography.  I mean, most of them have their own special ankh designs!

But they do look cool, I'll give him thatů.

I just read secret empire 0 and in there they mention Dr Faustus or whatever his name is, who also appears in this Season of Bp, I wonder if Coates is doing tie ins to the event this Time?

I vaguely recall reading somewhere that "Wakanda is a big part of Secret Empire", but that doesn't mean it's in the main book.

It might be, tho, because Doctor Strange (which started about the same time) is being dragged into the Event with the new creative team.

With Coates at the helm? Bast help us.

It would be good if Wakanda was actually treatedby others as the most advanced nation on earth like it has been said. Wakanda Should be a key player in standing in the way of Steve

Just read BP #13. Quick thoughts.

General Stuff

-Art was very good. Good job by Torres.

-Action scenes = major improvement from season 1. Far more coherent this time.

-No pacing issues. This issue flowed smoothly imho.

-No multiple story lines like in season 1. Everything is centered around one plot. It is more focused this time.

Portrayals

-T'Challa was well done. We even get a small explanation for some of his behavior in season 1.

-Shuri, Eden, and Storm were well done as well.

-Fans of the BP/Storm relationship get some good moments. No negativity on this one (Yay!).

-The HZ were doing their thing: lots and lots of shooting.

-Wakandan shamans in action.

-Liked the villains of this issue. And it appears they won't be the only villains we'll be seeing throughout this story.

Overall, I felt this was a good read. Felt more like an actual comic book issue compared to previous Coates stuff. At the moment, I'd rank #13 above any issue from season 1. I'm also quite curious on where this story goes and I think this could serve as a jumping on point for a lot of readers.
