Powers Boothe, Dead at 68

Powers Boothe, the character actor known for his delightfully villainous performances in shows ranging from Deadwood all the way to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., has died at the age of 68, according to the Hollywood Reporter. He died in his sleep of natural causes on Sunday morning, his representatives told the paper. The news was first broken by his friend, actor Beau Bridges:

I've been a fan of this guy since the beginning. He's up there with Jack Palance as one of the all time
great screen heavies.

Great body of work but his character in Deadwood was stand out to me.

He was GREAT on Deadwood (God I loved Deadwood) but I'll always remember him for his creepy performance in Guyana Tragedy: The Story of Jim Jones. I saw it when I was kid and it scares me to this day. R.I.P.
