Nobody really cares now on ESPN. It's just a story that's still hot because of what's still going on in the streets. I don't watch ESPN really but are there discussions going on about the content of CK's protests or mainly stories about who will hire him or if he will play again because of what he did (without delving into the why he said it).

Jemele Hill and Michael Smith on SC6 have been on point on the story with a realistic perspective from early on. I think there will be coverage every time a team signs a quarterback. Case in point, Jay Cutler in Miami. I do take your point that the focus on ESPN is definitely about "distractions" and whether it's worth it for team X, etc. and less so on the purpose/point of his protests.

It seems to me that the situation is getting a lot of attention though.
I like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's take on it.
"Seek first to understand, then to be understood."
"Be hard on systems, but soft on people."
