Death, stupidity and music...
« on: July 25, 2006, 08:10:07 pm »
So yeah.

A friend of mine died. He was 32 years old. He probably did steriods for a long time, had a preexisting heart condition, and it finnaly caught up with him. He was an asshole, and left behind a broken hearted family and a trio of friends who loved him like a brother, but kinda hated what he had become.

Back in college it was me, my best friend (lets call him reed), his girlfriend sue and his brother johnny. Johnny was a hot headed asshole who was always about himself. Reed and Sue both had awful family lives, and found a new family with each other, along with their dysfunctional friend Ben, Reeds best friend and a cat who had a tough go of it himself. They had no family, and now they had each other.

Then years went by, Reed and Sue grew apart. They got married to other people, but for some BS reason or another, couldn't remain friends. Ben moved on and got married himself, and eventually Johnny died cause he was a dumb ass and Reed and Sue couldn't even use that tragedy to come back together. And then there I am, stuck in the middle of two family members listening to Pearl Jam thinking about 1995 and how we all had nothing but each other, and now we have everything (materially) but we are all seperate. At least I have Pearl Jam's, "10", and the hope that someday the BS will be overlooked and we will all be together again cause once upon a time it was all we had...

peace out.

Sam, your big heart shows in all your posts, and after meeting you in person....this breaks my heart.  You're a good man, Charlie Brown.

Yeah, like Reggie said, you're a good man with a big heart. Sorry for your loss, man.

Sorry to hear your friend has passed.  Hopefully, it will eventually bring you closer with the ones left.  Man, we all live similar lives in one way or another.
