So artist is Paul Renaud. anyone got the inside info on him?

and it is a 6 issue mini. Meaning it is 100% designed for MCU fans to hopefully maybe cross over a bit.

I am actually excited about this. IF the dude can write (big If of course with any newbie), this could be very good for the character as a whole.

It is made to grab MCU fans, looks like it is going to have some classic rogues, will likely "explain" Wakanda as well.

It is basically going to be an updated "Who is the Black Panther" type book from the sound of it. "Who is T'challa?"

Anything that is a contained story that explains the character quickly and succinctly is a positive thing for any "new" fans that might be interested in the comic character.

but, dudes gotta be able to write lol.

Paul Renaud is respectable.

He did Secret Wars issue #0

The issue where Valeria forced her cronies into child labor as they built a life raft for her father and his afrikan dictator friend.
How many leaders you said you needed then left em for dead?
Is it Moses, is it Huey Newton or Detroit Red?
Is it Martin Luther, JFK, shooter you assassin
Is it Jackie, is it Jesse, oh I know, its King T'Challa, oh!

When ish hit the fan, is you still a fan?

like i said... Im hoping for a Hudlin's WitBP situation where the writing is solid, the art is good and the book is successful enough that Marvel turns it into a ongoing.. I really need another BP book that i can look forward to reading and not cringe at what is shown in the pages

Most likely Claw will kill T'chaka for the first issue.

He's solid artist, I'd say a B- level artist on marvel artist scale.. not as go as Marco Checchetto ( old man Hawkeye artist) id say he's a B+.. I do think Paul drawns black ppl/characters & background better then Marco.. While Marco details looks better to me..

But imo it doesn't matter if your details or art is better if your black characters look like chocolate covered white characters or whitewashed black characters, are drawn like chocolate covered ppl from wateva country of origin the artist is from.. Alot of paid comic artist has these issues, while you find comic artist who can't get an interview can do much better.. So over all he (Paul is a good choice) imo...

Good question I'm going to guess we are going to see a Time skip or 2 that maybe cover from 1st issue, And we may see Shuri being born if that is Queen Mom, Also that's not KM, but his Father & we will see he & T'Chaka beef.. which lead to Klaw showing up & etc..

Or it could be N'Yami is pregnant with T'Challa..

Either Way i would say this guy is on the same level as rocafort in terms of overall skill, or maybe a little below him. I classify Rocafort as a B+/ A- level artist. This guy i would say a Solid B/B+ for sure. Either way the art will be good enough that, with enough promo, could be sitting around the BP solo or maybe Above if the guy is good

plus guaranteed 6 issue mini means they have plenty of time to get the art done

no rushed art, no fill in artists.

I wish comic did more minis....

Mini and Maxi Series would be nice. Test the waters get a complete Story. and if it does good then they could continue. But tell complete stories. Like the Crew was garbage through and through and you could tell it was an incomplete rushed story
