Looks like we're getting back into fanfiction so I started typing mine again.

The kids powers are same as Ben 10 and Generator Rex. I liked those shows when they were on. They use a normal electric bus with wheels to get to the mound for safety reasons. In my head T'chaka city looks similar to DS9 without the lower pylons.
Class Trip
The school bus rumbled up the windy road that lead to the Sacred Mound. For most of these children it would be their first visit to one of Wakanda’s most revered locations. Most were so excited that they couldn't sleep the night before. The group was made up of children who decided to pursue an advanced education that would ultimately lead them to finishing high school and college either at home or at the Learned City. Other children would either become warriors, farmers, priest, or work part-time at local businesses.
Of the thirty or so children two standouts were sitting at opposite ends of the bus 'Osun' sat in back and 'Sarr' sat in front. Each had their own group of friends, but the two regularly competed with each other throughout middle school. Sarr had an advantage in intellect, but Osun was the more athletic. The only arena they were evenly matched in were girls. Both had trouble with the opposite sex, but found that they had the same taste in women and talking about them was one of the only times they consistently got along. The other topics they liked were American video games and Japanese comics and cartoon. Occasionally they would run into each other at a premier of the latest Shonen movie in N'Jadaka city, and hang out at a replica of a Midwest 50s era drive in to look at all of the older girls who weren't attending school at the Learned City. But by the following school day, they'd be back to arguing.
As the bus approached the entrance to the mines, the teacher reminded the class not to wonder off or enter the mines without supervision as unprocessed vibranium was still radioactive and could cause mutations from over exposure. As the group disembarked, they were greeted by a tall chocolate woman who was to serve as their tour guide. She greeted the children with a big smile and lead them to a tourist entrance. Sarr reflexively looked over at Osun and gave a look that Osun had seen many times before. A look that said Sarr had just fallen in love. Osun returned to look with a slight smile and a nod.
The group got to see the entire vibranium processing lines. Robots collected the crystal like rocks and deposited them on conveyor belts that fed to a foundry where the rocks were heated to their melting point and became molten. Then the molten Vb was poured into heated vats that kept it in liquid form for processing. The liquid Vb was shuttled over to whichever line currently had production orders. In total there were four separate lines the molten Vb could be sent to. Nicknamed for their color when charged or at rest, the 'silver' line focused on treating Vb so it could be used defensively. Walls, building materials, and the Kings' older habits were made from this. It was also the primary type of Vb that was sold on world markets at roughly ten thousand dollars a gram. The second line was called 'crystal', it was primarily used for energy storage. A crystal the size of a U.S. fifty cent piece could fully power and Iron Man suite of armor for a month before it needed recharging. The 'purple' line was for Vb that was moulded to be used for offence. The guide noted the Kings' energy daggers and parts of his new habit came from this. Finally the 'blue' line was for Vb that was to be used for a type of molecular magnetism, mostly found in military shoes and the Kings' famous ability to momentarily cling to walls and leap from a height of at least eight stories high and land without a making a sound. After the Vb was processed, it went to various locations. Some went to SHIELD, Stark, Pym, and other companies. The rest went to T'Chaka city where it would be fashioned to fit whatever the needs were.
The kids were all impressed, with many of them expressing a desire to pursue engineering to learn how the process worked. Sarr and Osun however were to enamored with the tour guide to postulate their future ambitions. The group arrived at the final tourist destination, the experimental and prototyping labs. The guide explained that the newest vibranium innovations were created and safety tested here and if they met the safety requirements, the experiments would be shipped to T'Chaka city of the New Golden City. The guide then said that her favorite lab was the Vb flower bio enclosure. Flowers mutated by Vb in the ground around the great mound were studied for scientific potential, but also produced an array of beautiful flowers that the guide wished she could take home.
On the ride home Sarr and Osun sat next to each other. Early plans were in the works for them to sneak back out to the mound and try to find flowers at the base of the mountain. Osun spent the evening at Sarrs' home since Osun was an orphan whose parents died during the Skrull invasion. Both lived in the suburbs of S'Yan city, but Osun lived in the local dormitory for orphans and dishonored children. Sarr lived with his mother and two sisters. Sarrs' farther did defending the palace during Morlun's attack in the first year of Shuri's regency. They spent the afternoon watching soccer and anime until around nine P.M. when Sarr told his mom that they were going to N'Jadaka city for a late movie. In reality they went to their towns' airfield and took it to T'Chaka city because it was the closest to the mound. After disembarking from the airship, they got on their hover boards and made their way to the mound. The one hundred meter area around the mound had both video and seismic surveillance, but an intellectual prodigy from their town had discovered a natural blind spot that young adults would sneak through. He only shared the info with the kids at his school and it became a hangout spot for rebellious youth. It took them an hour to find a flower similar to those they'd seen in the lab when suddenly they heard a large humming sound coming from beneath their feet. Without warning the ground opened and they fell into a crevasse that dropped them into a lab. Sarr fell onto a work bench, but Osun fell into an open vat of molten Vb. He screamed in pain, but no sound could be heard. Sarr, desperate to help rushed so quickly that he knocked over a canister spilling a watch looking object onto the floor. Before he could react the watch leapt up and attached itself to his forearm. Seconds later lab technicians entered the room, the first ran over and hit the switch to drain the vat. Sarr and Osun laid unconscious, their lives forever changed.
Sarr awoke first. He found himself in a hospital bed laying next to Osun. Both were in bio beds that isolated them from the air around them. Sarr tried to sit up, but couldn't. When he looked around he saw that the watch from the canisters was attached to his wrist. He yelled for Osun to wake up, but it seemed that the sound of his voice could not penetrate the bed. He continued to look around and saw a call button next to his hand. Willing all of his strength he grabbed it and starting pressing frantically. Doctors rushed into the room seconds later. They used the computers in their hands to take readings on his current conditions. Determining that he had no contagious infections, they powered down the bed allowing him to move freely. After more test, Wakandan national security officers came in to interview him on how he and his friend ended up in the lab. Sarr embarrassed, relayed the true account to them. The doctors told him to stay in bed and Wakandan scientist would be along in a few days to transfer him to T'Chaka city.
Two days later Osun awoke in his hospital bed. Sarr pushed the call button to get help. The doctors and security services went through the same process they had with Sarr. When it was finished they both just had to wait until morning when the scientist would come.
At nine in the morning an old man with gray hair walked into their hospital room. "So these are the two who ruined my experiments", he said aloud. Osun and Sarr felt a chill up their spines. "Well, lets have a look at you". He went to Sarr first and examined the device on his wrist. "Simple enough" he said, "I'll just chop your arm off to retrieve it". Visible shock entered Sarrs' eyes. "As for you", turning towards Osun, "I'm afraid we'll have to melt you down to retrieve my work".
"I don't think that will be necessary" came a voice from the door. All eyes turned to see King Tchalla standing there.
"Zentu, you must stop teasing the children". "Merely exploring different options my King". Tchalla entered the room and stood at the foot between the two beds. "Both of you have committed serious infractions," the King began. "Normally, given your ages, we'd hand you over to your families for punishment, but with what happened and your conditions, the orphanage and your mother have agreed that having you live in T'chaka city for awhile is the best".
"What is our condition?" Asked Sarr.
"I was getting to that", Zentu chimed in. "Sarr, on your wrist is an alien mutation matrix of my design. I cataloged different alien races we have on file and the watch allows you to transform into them. Any that have what we would consider super human abilities, you would have the same when you turn into them. Osun you absorbed a large amounts of my Vb nanites which will allow you to change shape based on how creative you are. Primarily focus was intended around various weapons, but with practice, it could be expanded.
"Zentu will be your primary caretaker", said Tchalla. "They were his experiments so he is best suited to monitor you. We're given you shared quarters in T'chaka city, Sarr, your mother will meet you there.
After both of them were thoroughly chewed out by Sarrs' mother, she spent a few days helping them settle in and giving them both big hugs upon her departure.
T'chaka city was for the most part a large military base and construction yard. All military equipment was built and tested here. Prowlers, N'Yami battle cruisers, and weapons came from here and were distributed across the country to form the security grid. The city itself was composed of three large rings. On the outer ring was the construction yards, on the second ring was the airfields and testing labs, and on the inner ring was administration and housing. Outside the city were various combat training and testing fields. Sarr and Osun lived in the inner ring.
As the city was designed to support military personnel, between school and training, there wasn't much to do and until they could prove they could control their newfound powers, they weren't allowed to leave the city without escort. After the first month they'd been given permission to freely use the hard light projection training rooms for exercise. Combat simulations were their favorite. They fought a simulation of the Skrull and Thanos invasions and repelled a United States invasion scenario. After the second month they began to make friends with the younger military recruits. The Jr recruits were those who enlisted after middle school. They lived in the inner ring as well, but returned to their homes on weekends and holidays. After training and testing for a few years, they would be able to decide which branch of the Wakandan military they wanted to join. Osun and Sarr usually joined them for meals and mixed combat simulations. By the third month there was a big reshuffle underway as the most popular newspaper in the county announced the founding of planet Bast and many of T'Chaka cities personnel would be among the first to help settle the planet. When the following month came to an end, Sarr and Osun had demonstrated enough control over their powers that they were allowed to roam the country freely. However, they didn't get a lot of time to enjoy their freedom as a new enemy threatened the country.
Their first encounter with the enemy, they were wondering around the markets of S'Yan city. Without warning bison sized monsters started trampling through the streets. Civilians used the emergency transport bead on their Kimiyo bracelet to escape. Sarr and Osun excitedly leapt into action. Sarr turned into a troll from one of the nine realms and engaged in combat. Osun turned one arm into a sword and the other into a shield and hacked and slashed all that he came across. Within a half-hour, all he beast had been felled and security forces were patrolling the surrounding area for signs of more.
Tchalla arrived shortly after and greeted the young warriors with words of praise. He then oversaw the science team who studied the carcasses of the beast. Early findings were that the beast had an extra-dimensional energy signature indicating that they may have come from a different dimension. The question was did they arrive intentionally or by accident. The question was answered a few days later when a new pack of creatures appeared in a small river village. Luckily this village was on the security grid and an alert was sent out. While the village warriors were able to hold off the creatures with their vibranium shields and energy weapons, they were highly outnumbered. Minutes later a Vulture plane appeared over the village and Sarr & Osun leapt out of the craft. In mid air Sarr turned into a Brood worker drone, he landed in the meddle of the pack and slashed vigorously with his front legs. Osun made twin propellers appear out of his back and using a disrupter rifle, felled creatures on by one from the sky. Tchalla was on Bast at the time so Taku and Shuri showed up to evaluate the situation. "Definitely not random", said Taku. "They have the same energy signatures as the creatures from a few days ago"
"Lets get the corpses back the T'Chaka city for study", commanded Shuri. She greeted the young warriors with a bright smile. As she left Sarr gave Osun his familiar look of having fallen in love.
Over the next couple of weeks Sarr and Osun fought many battles with the invaders. On several occasions they fought side by side with the King, or Okoye, or, Shuri. Their combat skills grew quickly even though they were both only fourteen. Soon they were greeted with applause whenever they entered smaller villages. And they both noticed in increase in girls wanting their Wakandan social media information.
On a rainy afternoon they were both summoned to the royal palace. Okoye greeted them at the visitors entrance and escorted them to the first ministers office. Shuri was waiting for them behind a large curved desk and invited them to a sitting area also in the office that had more comfortable chairs. "My brother wanted to be here to tell you this", she began, but he is on extended business in America. As you probably saw on the news, the outside world has learned of Bast and he is doing damage control. He wanted to give you these if you were willing to take on the responsibility". She put a lacquer box in front of them. Inside were two Kimoyo beads. "Current research into the invaders won't allow our tech to block their ability to enter our country. We don't know what they want or if they have a grand purpose. The attacks do not seem to have a routine interval, but with all that said, Tchalla and I would like to offer the both of you permanent positions as guardians against their attacks. These special beads will alert you to an opening dimensional breach anywhere in the country and teleport you there when you press the icon in the middle. The two of you will be the vanguard whenever there is an attack....
"We accept", Sarr and Osun said in unison before Shuri could finish. Shuri smiled, taking pride that Wakandas' warrior spirit was still present in the younger generation. "This doesn't mean you'll be slaves to the job", she continued. "There will be a support staff to cover for you if you get sick or are unable to respond".
"We accept" the youths said again. "Alright", replied Shuri "Take your beads and defend this nation with honor".
