Not the five favorite albums, which is already a tough list.

Five favorite SONGS.

In celebration of his birthday:

Take Me With You

Forever In My Life

Let's Go Crazy (12 inch mix)

Tick Tick Bang

Adore, Love or $, New Position, When You Were Mine, Staxowax - 5 way tie for fifth (yes I cheated)

big ups to Mr. Nelson!  He should still be with us. arrest his medical team.

Scandalous- for me this is a very enduring song from the Batman album (a slept-on work overall)

Sign of the Times

Erotic City- I had no idea what the lyrics were about when this came out-- and it's probably for the best since I was only 10.

Diamonds and Pearls

Let's Go Crazy- I still get a buzz out of the guitar solo. I wanted him to do a whole album like this.

This is, of course, a ridiculous request. Ok, my unencumbered by the thought process list:

Pop Life
Joy in the Repetition
Let's Go Crazy (movie version with the piano stomps)
Starfish and Coffee
Gett Off
"Seek first to understand, then to be understood."
"Be hard on systems, but soft on people."
